Reviewed By jayOntarioThis was the first time staying at a Canalta property. We were very impressed with this hotel. Very clean, helpful young ladies at the desk. Room was nice, very quiet. Breakfast was very good as well. Hot and cold items, plenty of choices. Only downside my husband could not taste the coffee, didn’t care for the brand. No problem stopped at McDonald’s for coffee/tea to continue on to Drumheller.

Rooms were clean and modern. Pool, hot tub and fitness centre plus breakfast include for a great price. The best property to stay at in RMH!

A clean, safe and comfortable stay

We found the room to be very clean, comfortable and it was an overall great stay. We were well rested, had coffee, a microwave and all amenities needed. I will definitely be staying here again!

Great service
Reviewed By PAUL LI made an error on the reservation date of my initial pre-paid booking, which I found out when I tried to check in. The staff were very understanding and fortunately had a king room available. I paid full price again, knowing the error was my fault. Was very surprised when I got home from the trip and saw that they had refunded half the rate. Thank-you ! You don't see customer service like that anymore. Oh, the stay was great, too.

We are dedicated to making memories for families by providing affordable fun, a wilderness experience with all the amenities and an overall quality experience for friends and families in the Canadian Rockies. Amenities include a hotel , campground, cabins, RV rentals, Group camps for weddings and reunions, full service restaurant, convenience store, liquor store, gas station and gift shop. We have mini-golf, Frisbee-golf, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and badminton on property.
We loved our stay and so did our dog!

So much to do and see in the area! If you’re coming to sit on your phones/laptops and expecting a luxury hotel, this is not the place for you. So many online reviews are people complaining about slow wifi and no air conditioning and someone even complained about the lack of an elevator. Seriously. I can’t help but wonder if they forgot that they’re in the middle of nowhere and that this is indeed a motel. Go take a look outside around you! You’re surrounded by mountains! That’s the beauty of this resort. If the price per night is too steep for you perhaps you should stay elsewhere and let the people who love the great outdoors enjoy it! My only small complaint is the rooms could be a little cleaner but for the very short time we spent in them it’s not worth crying over. Can’t wait to go back! Thanks for existing DTR!

Worst place I've ever been in.
Reviewed By teresamr2017The room was cold as no heat. Not clean . Bathroom had minute items. Room seemed to have been a storage roomed turned to guest room. No alarm clock. No blankets. The only say was nice was the bed was comfortable. Don't waste your money or time going here.

Reviewed By deddrdIt was a very nice little motel almost felt like you were in a cabin in the woods instead of Main Street Rocky Mountain House. Very quiet and clean with restaurants and shopping right outside the door.
