The worst experience in my life

Reviewed By Fernando C

I travelled with my family, my mother a 70 years old woman and my child 6 years old, we did a late reservation to check in, around 20:00, saying that we would get to the B&B between 22:00-23:00. Due to heavy traffic, we could not make it on time, we were 25 minutes late. The person who was supposed to give us the key has gone, and the contact telephone was off. Even though, the front door of the B&B was open there were no keys of the rooms anywhere in the hall. If the person in charged had to go, why didn’t he call us? Or, if the front door was open why didn’t he leave the key somewhere? The most amazing thing is that I was charged with both rooms, and we were left there in the middle of the night having to look for another place. This B&B really spoiled our holydays.

Just back from the Allingham and had a brilliant weekend. Some lovely new changes with menus, dance times etc but all for the better. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening, it was delicious. There was some music in the bar which was great craic, met some lovely people who love their dancing. Second night we ate in Quay West and it was divine, the steak sandwich was to die for.. Robert Mizzell was playing on the Saturday night and he was brilliant. Have to say the staff really made the weekend, they just seem to be so happy in their work and really would do anything for their customers..

Rory Gallagher Festival 2022

Great stay at The Holyrood, we were there for five nights attending the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon. Our stay was first class, all the staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We started each day with a full Irish breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was superb. Our room was clean and comfortable and was everything we expected. The festival shuttle bus to Ballyshannon stopped right outside the hotel, so we were in the perfect location. Bundoran offered some great walks along the sea shore and cliff tops with spectacular views. We are hoping to re book for next year and would highly recommend The Holyrood.

Have to say, Danny here was very helpful and friendly. I had my own private room which was great. 1st time I stayed here, if going to Bundoran again, I will book The Rougey lodge. Even though I booked it over a month ago, when I arrived, there was no record of my booking on the system. But Danny told me he had a room, available, I was very grateful. It wasn't Danny who took my booking over the phone, so I was very grateful to him, for his help.

Great stay

Reviewed By Phillip N

We stayed here for four nights on a family holiday. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There were the usual Covid restrictions but it was a very enjoyable stay. The food was very nice from the van outside and the service from all staff was great. Our apartment was very comfortable, with everything needed for a short stay. There is an electricty meter that requires €2 coins for operation, I think we used 4 or 6 euro max during our time. There's a nice little playground outside, mini golf and a football pitch. The pool is fine too with a jacuzzi. Ample car parking and an excellent location, will definitely return.
