A very comfy place
Reviewed By alittlemermaidI stayed in this hotel for one night in order to catch a plane the next day, so I didn't have too much expectation. However, it is a comfortable and quiet place even though it is on a busy street and with a lot of guests during the Holy Week. The room has a big space for me to put my luggage and move around (ususally it is placed with unnecessary furniture). It doesn't use carpet which I feel very clean and fresh. Staff are very lovely and helpful, which excess the 3.5 hotel service. 2 things I would like to mention for improvement. The breakfast seating was a little chaotic. When I went back to my table after taking some more food, someone took over my table already. I think Hilton should be experience enough to have system to avoid it. Another thing is the hot chocolate. I ordered one cup at night in the restaurant. It was tasteless. I mean, it was a little sweet, thick and brown, that's it. There's no taste of chocolate at all. Next morning, I found that it's same as the one in the free breakfast. Shouldn't a better quality can be served for a cup of 6,000 cop hot chocolate in Hilton? Especially in Colombia where you can get good hot chocolate in local cafes. Anyways, it's a great stay, Breakfast area is small but it has a lot of choices and the food is fresh and delicious. Everywhere is super clean. There are also many restaurants around and it's easy to get food at night.

Reviewed By whitsupaWow! What a truly pleasant experience to visit Casa Mendoza. We booked this hotel on our way to Santa Marta thinking it was just a place to spend the night. However, we were gladly surprised to see such a beautiful cozy place. The owner and his wife welcomed us and made us feel at home. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is delicious and customer service is off the charts. Si buscan un lugar para hospedarse en Bucaramanga, Casa Mendoza es el sitio ideal para descansar, compartir y sentirse como en casa. Will definitely come back!

Don't waste your time or money..
Reviewed By KarliW_13We arrived to be greeted by the receptionist who was very bothered that our Spanish was not up to par. She became very short and rude to us as we went through the check in process, rolling her eyes several times. We made it through check in and we're escorted to our room, which was decent. The walls looked as if they had never been washed (what looked like blood on one wall of the room...yikes!). We struggled to find a decent WiFi signal on the 2nd floor in our room, so we could barely use the Internet as the signal was very shotty. So we we left for dinner and drinks and arrived back at the hotel around 10pm to find the front door of the hotel locked and nobody in sight. After knocking and waiting for about 20 mins an employee finally arrived and opened the door without saying a word. We struggled to find our room in the dark hallways as there are no lights leading to the rooms. After a nights rest, we had the same receptionist who was once again very short and rude to us during the checkout process. Luckily we were only in this dump for one night...

Noisy and cheap
Reviewed By timsmith1954This is a very noisy hotel. The rooms are very spartan. No coffee maker, no refrigerator, no closet. Cheap furniture. I would not stay here again. This was a last minute thing and I would have been better off sleeping in the street. So find something else please.

Rooms are spacious, comfy, daily cleaned and cooled. Amenities are spot on: smart TV, reliable WIFI, pool, decent daily breakfast buffet and 24/7 parking. And, they were eager to learn how to improve the experience. Gracias nuevamente! Peace !

Reviewed By ReesehdzThe surroundings of the hotel are a bit echy. It feels like you are downtown at night. The hotel is not too bad. The pool is just a small sauna, and they rent the restaurant for parties, so if you want to relax with your meal, you'd better have it taken to your room. The breakfast is basic, could be better. The worst thing was the bathroom though, we stayed in two rooms and both showers were dirty and full of hairs that did not belong to us.... yuck!

Reviewed By 66dudeIt is very clean and the staff are great. Next to the Mall is a big plus. We have stayed there three times and we always are very pleased. The breakfast is good but not free. The views are really nice and the rooms are quiet. Stay here you will not regret it.

Overpriced but comfortable
Reviewed By AdM85The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. I thought they were overpriced though. There was a strong light coming in through our window which we couldn't block out. The breakfast was terrible. The buses were loud but I could still sleep. Its convenient if you want to stay near the bus station but be warned - there is literally nothing else around. We ate dinner at the bus station.
