Top 10 hotels in Baden-Baden, Germany

August 7, 2022 Tynisha Seiler

Nestled at the foot of the Black Forest in South Germany, Baden-Baden is a chic destination for those who fancy a dip in its famous salt- and radon-rich thermal hot springs. The town has been a popular destination for so long that it's starting to show its age, but not to worry. It's still very classy, picturesque and well-maintained. (The Dame Julie Andrews of German spa towns, if you will.) Sporty types will find an abundance of opportunities to enjoy golf, tennis, horseback riding and skiing nearby in winter.

It all started when we came late and tired and didn't find a parking spot. The hotel manager let us park in his space and this started a great friendship. The hotel has everything, a spa, a pool, a gym, great bar, rich breakfast. Everything is very clean. The staff is very kind. The surrounding is quite and green. The location of the hotel is very convinient. Best value for money I ever had.

Brenners Park Stay

Reviewed By Jamie35_15

There was lots to like at Brenner’s Park, the staff were excellent, very professional and courteous. The Good: The hotel is old fashioned in a good sense and covers quite a large plot. We stayed in both the original hotel and Villa Stephanie rooms. The Villa Stephanie is definitely the place to stay, the rooms are bright, modern and airy and have all been recently renovated in a traditional but modern style. The bedding and bed was extremely comfortable in contrast to the main building. The Spa facility is exceptional as is the pool area and the sunbathing area is very beautiful, the grounds are immaculately kept. The Bad: The main building rooms have seen better days, and the bathrooms, bedding and mattresses need a refresh given the prices being charged. A basic at a five star hotel is a quality mattress and this was missing in the main building. The food offerings - an integral part of any great hotel - are absent/ lacking. The menu choices are pretty narrow, the food is quite average and the prices high; the room service menu is also very very limited and again expensive. If in doubt visit the restaurant trip adviser reviews which we should have checked before staying. Also prices throughout the hotel are a little on the crazy high side. We had two G&Ts at the main bar and found they came to E48, which would give the George V a run for its money! All in Brenners Park would benefit from a bit of healthy competition as there is quite a lot of room for improvement on the food and beverage front. All in if you are going to charge top draw prices - which Brenners is - you have to deliver flawlessly on all fronts, and at the moment they are falling short.

Beautiful rooms. Nice bathroom products.Located right next to casino. noisy at night if you sleep with open window. Breakfast is the same every day - no variety at all if you stay for a long time. Front desk staff is nice, girl that works evenings was very helpful. No free parking, they have parking garage near by for fee and with very very unhelpful attendant. I would recommend this hotel.

Great charm, but take care with room choice

Reviewed By higvin

The core of this hotel is an 1870s villa which retains its essentially original charms inside and out, including a pretty garden. Its dining areas, used for the excellent breakfast included in the room price, are very attractive, including for the antique furniture. The hotel also throws in complimentary afternoon tea in front of the very convincing fake open fire. The pick of the rooms are the quiet ones facing the garden on the first floor in the main building. But the hotel also has rooms in surrounding buildings. We had one in a converted second floor attic of a neighbouring building which faced a couple of nearby roads. There was some traffic noise but by the time we realised this we didn’t have the energy to figure out the air conditioning. So choose rooms carefully. The hotel is a few minutes’ walk to central Baden-Baden and its attractions. It also has parking (€20 or so a night). Friendly suggestion to the staff: drop the face masks. But overall recommended and reasonably priced by the standards of Baden-Baden’s other historic hotels.

Thank you Ms Amamdine

Reviewed By ivanc1615

This would easily have been a 1 star review, except for the remedy action taken by Ms Amamdine, front desk supervisor. Came here to celebrate my birthday, used my Bonvoy suite nites for Deluxe Suite, was accepted for it, flew 13 hours, drove 2 hours in the night, reachin hotel late only to be told by the checkin gentleman that my room was “downgraded” to a Select Suite. Was also informed that all 3 Deluxe Suites were taken by an Ambassador member, who was also a Lifetime Platinum. I hav been with Marriot 17 yrs & currently an Ambassador member with Lifetime Plat as well so naturally I am surprised to be belittled this way. If the suite nights were not accepted, I would have appreciated the upgrade as always. but tis action & the words used, attrocious & what a way to embark on my 49th birthday. Now the praises; Ms Amamdine came to me the next morning, spoke to me at length, apologised & changed my room back to a Deluxe Suite. You single handedly save this trip, & added 3 stars to my stay. Truly, a 3-star general in the Marriot setup. Thank you. Hotel wise, modern, nice breakfast, nice staff, a tag further from city centre but walkable if weather is right. Juz across is Mama Lina, nice Italian restaurant n a muz eat.

Charming, exceptional hospitality

Great location in town. Helpful staff. Clean and spacious room. Would stay here again. Desk staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good, with good quality food, and great service. Note that dining is a bit more formal. Had dinner one night in hotel restaurant. Again, a bit formal, but worth it. Overall, hotel strikes a good balance between charm, classy, and friendly. A great combination.
