Very good experience.

It was my first time in a hostel. And it was a really good experience. The owner is really nice, as are everyone working there. The bed is more like a "Mini-Appartement", which is great. The good and free breakfast is definitely a great thing. Everything es very clean and the hostel is near a busstop and the city center. I would definitely recommend it and come back.

Ostello della Gioventu - Il Castello

Set within a fantastic Castle Bornonico, the Youth Hostel "The Castle", offers accommodation in family / double and multiple rooms with bunk beds. All rooms have private bathrooms. We are seconds away from the beautiful Cathedral Basilica today. The Hostel offers the possibility of a tan within a beautiful natural solarium, all golden stone of Noto! See you there!

High quality in a great position- worth seeking out

Reviewed By Jon_Janet

We chose this accommodation for its proximity to the main street in Noto: a set of steps next to the hostel leads directly into the heart of the city with good access to the Cathedral, other main sights and the bars and restaurants. Particularly when returning after an evening in a restaurant, you need to be fairly fit to use the steps but this is an antidote to the good food that you can find. Bear in mind that this is a hostel, but one in an interesting old building with marble floors and great views over Noto. There is a mix of private accommodation and dormitories with their own bathroom and shower. Our room for two was huge with a comfortable bed; it was clean and well maintained. The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful with advice on parking and where to visit in the town. Wi-Fi was available in and near the lobby and there was a decent continental breakfast thrown in. You can bring a car and park outside or nearby if you can find a spot: ask reception to find the parking spots. Our only downside was that our Satnav had difficulty locating the entrance from the address. Perhaps a better location indicator would help. But we did get there and can recommend it. Highly recommended providing good value for money.

Il Vecchio Frantoio

We are in the evocative setting of the Madonie Natural Park, our farmhouse is located in the Firrione district, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees. The village, which in the past had historical importance and a hegemonic sign, as evidenced by the loopholes and the strategic defense position, reaches, after having belonged to the Dukes of Ferrandina, the current owners ... The farmhouse Il Vecchio Frantoio is located in Sicily in Parco delle Madonie just 3.5 km from the Palermo / Catania motorway, in the center of Sicily and in a short time with all the most important places of Sicilian tourism such as Piazza Armerina, Palermo, Agrigento, Cefalu Taormina and many others. It rises (700 m.), in a typical structure of the ancient Sicilian bagli of the early 1600s.

Unforgettable stay and hospitality on the mountains of Sicily

Reviewed By Paivi P

This beautiful and huge old frantoio is located "in the middle of nowhere" in a very positive meaning. Still for example a popular Cefalù on the seaside is not far away by car and there are many interesting mountain towns like Petralia Soprana and Petralia Sottana nearby to visit. The family owned place made us almost speechless when we arrived in the late December afternoon. Old ceilings were incredibly high and the great stone courtyard so peaceful. We sat in front of the fire reading books and silently sipping our wine when the wind was roaring outside. The family has 9 000 olive trees! A beautiful simple room was cozy and warm and the family members so welcoming and helpful. The power duo was Corrado and the Chef Antonio who cooked such great dinners - various antipastis after antipastis, great homemade pasta and meat - again in front of another cozy fireplace. The peaceful wintertime is a good time to come - we left totally relaxed and were already making new plans to return.

A treasure

Reviewed By k747

What a great find. Beautifully decorated, impeccably kept and immaculately clean, Pharos is probably the best hotel we stayed in while touring Sicily. The two brother-owners are extremely professional and work really hard to provide what I think looks remarkably like a 4 star hotel for the price of a two. The location is perfect, a few blocks from the beach and removed from the noisy restaurants opening on the streets. Make sure to have breakfast on the rooftop terrace commanding a 180 degree view over San Vito Lo Capo. Taste the home baked goodies on offer, especially the fresh tomato and cheese pizza and the to-die-for pistacchio cream filled puff doughnuts. Truly outstanding. I'll be back just to stay at this hotel again.

Bathroom could be cleaner

Reviewed By tilltwinkles

Nothing wrong with this hostel itself, the little courtyard is cute and the bed was comfy. All staff were very friendly and had genuine smiles. My bracelet was stolen off my wrist in my sleep in the female dorm, although when I mentioned it to a staff member to keep an eye out if it turned up he didn’t seem to care. The bathroom needs a good bloody scrub, particularly the shower, but I’ve stayed in worse.

BED BUGS!!!!!!

Reviewed By DidiBugovi

We have spent a couple of days at "Your Hostel" in the middle of october 2015. The location of the hostel was very great. It is central and you can reach everything easily and by foot. The staff of the hostel was very nice and welcoming as well. There was an amazing roof terrace where the sun burns you till 3 pm. BUT THERE ARE BED BUGS!!!!!! We slept in a 8 dormroom and we were totally bitten after 1 night. We mentionned it to the staff and they told us the bed bugs were there since 2 months. And so it looks like the owners are not doing enough efforts to get rid of them. We also found some eggs of bed bugs in the suitcase of my friend.... after only 2 nights. This experience was horrible because this situation (the bed bugs) was not taken seriously!! It is something to get bitten by some bed bugs but the real problem is to take them back home (or to someone's else place) and spread them!!!! There are also bed bugs in the private rooms as we heard, so be careful!!!!!

Friendly staff and good location

Reviewed By Helen M

There were only two of us in the room so it was easy to use the bathroom and charge devices but it might have been cramped with more. The staff were excellent, really friendly and gave us great advice about the local bar and bakery etc. If you like healthy breakfasts you will need to buy your own muesli or brown bread as the breakfast provided is Sicilian pastries and white bread. Plenty of tea bags and milk for tea drinkers at breakfast time. A drink from the bar was really good value and we enjoyed an Aperol cocktail and red wine. It was a 20 minute walk to the Greek Monument and the old town and a couple of minutes from the station which made arrival and departure very easy.

Authentic home in Palermo

Reviewed By mary88hl

I had wonderful time here in Al Vucciria hostel. Margarita and other staff are very friendly and makes this place a truly home for travellers. All common areas, bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. Theras on the rooftop is also great. The hostel is located in the heart of Palermo. The street seems dark and busy at night but we felt safe. At the morning there is a market and at night usually a party, so earplugs are helpful. But you wouldn't want to sleep because Palermo is best at night. Margarita
