Nice Hostel and Location, but Problems - Would Not Stay Again
Reviewed By PeterAndNataliaWe reserved a room with private bathroom at this hostel based on the good reviews. However it didn't live up to to those reviews. Room #4 is in a different building (down the street) from the office so you will dragging your luggage down the street. And breakfast is served a at a 3rd location - their sister hostel which looked much better to us. Our room (4) overlooked the street and the common balcony, so there's a lot of street noise and other guests using the balcony right outside your window. There's no hot water and the shower drain was very slow. The rooms in this building are also up a narrow spiral staircase - not easy to use. Overall, a good location (2 blocks from the coast and many restaurants) but there are better properties in Riohacha.

Hostel Nina Kite is located on the beach of Riohacha. The Hostel is built with shipping containers. It is a themed hostel dedicated to nautical sports with a young, alternative and special atmosphere for each guest that arrives. We have 3 dorms with 6 beds each and one private room with a queen-size bed. There is a shared kitchen, bathrooms, showers, living room and a sunset terrace on the roof of the common area with an beautiful view. All the rooms are air-conditioned and have lockers. We offer free bikes for our clients. Nina Kite School is part of the hostel. We offer Kitesurf lessons and rentals, mountain bike rentals, paddle board (SUP) rentals. We also gladly help you with the booking and planning of your trips (Cabo de la Vela, back to Santa Marta or wherever you are heading next). For more question we are always available via phone or email.
Best stay if you want to learn how to kite!
Reviewed By carinatieGreat spot to learn kiting! With the sea in front of you and a lagoon nearby, your teachers will always know the best spot to be learning how to kite. Great coaches with patience and a smile on their faces. A cozy hostel right at the beach with hammocks, container rooms and a usable kitchen. Breakfast is included and it’s typical Colombian and delicious! Definitely want to go back.

Reviewed By ninocatalinaIt was one of the best hostels I've stayed in Colombia. Neat and quiet you may say, though the situation in the country was not the best. Good service at the front desk, the girls had a good sense of urgency when we needed them. The girl at the bar made some pretty good cocktails.

We are the deepest Hostel in Colombia and the new fresh air in Riohacha since July 2018! We offer a space from which you can create your own deep travel experience and plan your trips to the beautiful spots of La Guajira. Our hostel has a unique style, we incorporate reusable materials, as all our furniture and bunk beds were made with recycled wood; we also got inspired by the Wayuu culture and you can see this throughout our murals and décor. Our patio is the perfect spot to be and meet fellow travelers by chilling in our Pool, getting fresh juices, beer and cocktails at our Bar. We want our guests to have fun and socialize with others through our daily activities and of course, enjoy good deep music. When it’s time to rest our bunk beds guarantee privacy and relaxation with private curtain, light, fan and electricity plug. Free breakfast is included and our shared kitchen is at your disposition.
A hostel as it should be
Reviewed By oasislover187Cool hostel with friendly and caring staff. The rooms are clean, calm and with a lot of space. Great, totally clean kitchen with good kitchen tools (first hostel with actual sharp knives!). Close to the beach, an atm and supermarkets. We have nothing to complain about, thank you!:)

The comfort of a hotel, the magic of a hostel
Reviewed By Nadia NGoa Hostel is the place to stay, if you are planning to visit Riohacha, Cabo de la Vela and/or Punta Gallinas. The bedrooms are comfortable, clean and quite. You will find white blankets and towels as in a hotel, but with hostel rate. The beds are very comfortable. The wifi works very well in every floors of the building. The location is a plus. It's walking distance to anywhere, with the advantage of being in a quite residential area, so you won't need ear plugs to have a good rest. So... if all of this is not enough: you'll get a bonus: a good breakfast! I can't wait to stay there again.

Place was clean all the time and food was perfect, it is a comfy place to spend 10 days like I did. Thank you for making us feel like home.

Reviewed By 188rupertlPlus points: cheap, good pool, spacious and clean rooms, bar, Netflix, good aircon. Minus points: no hot water (how do you build a brand new hotel and don’t plumb in hot water....??!!), awful breakfast (seek elsewhere - small portion of greasy eggs with white sliced or arepa) and only one key per room so a big hassle if one of a pair has to do something different from the other. 3.5 out of 5. And please don’t make me wear a wristband like I’m at Disney world. Colombia - please remember fruit!!!

Spacious private and shared rooms: with private bathroom, air conditioning, high speed Wi-Fi, digital TV, spacious kitchen to share, exquisite breakfasts, free bicycles, limited free parking. We are very close to the airport and shopping centers and craft markets. We are 10 minutes from the beaches.
Quiet and Cosy Hostal run by a Really Lovely Family.
Reviewed By Leeway7931We arrived here in the throes of full sickness picked up on our foray up into Punta Gallinas. We were given a very comfortable room with AC and working wifi - not only that, but the family helped us with our sickness, making tea, soup and offering painkillers. It was a lovely place to be at. Highly recommend. Thank you Solsticio!

Reviewed By baquerotravelerLlegamos casi por casualidad, nuestro viaje a la Guajira y a Rioacha salió de imprevisto y no pudimos organizar todo como usualmente lo hacemos, pero llegar al hostal de Yiyi y Luisa fue lo mejor que nos pudo pasar, precios cómodos de alojamiento, un desayuno delicioso, muy completo y variado, toda la información turística para conocer la zona, nos ayudaron con un contacto en Uribia para hacer el tour a Cabo de la vela, muchas gracias por todo!
