This was a surprising find. The museum is located within a drab building which seems to double up as the local municipal office and the museum itself is located in an obscure corner. The area around Miyota is littered with ancient Jomon archaeological sites and the museum contains the best of these artifacts. They are well displayed with plentiful English language information.
