Stefans Wine Paradise

Stefan's Wine and Christmas Paradise Stefan opened his shop, in St. Goar in the middle of the World heritage `Mittelrhein`, over 20 years ago. He is offering delecius Wines and Brandys made from his family. The first and still the most famous Brandy Stefan's family is producing is the peach Brandy. Made out of red peaches which are growing in the vineyards. Whenever you are entering the shop you will be offered a taste of it.: Be careful this Brandy make costumers return from all over the world. Today the variety of Stefan's Brandys got much bigger. The Menu offers something for every taste: from the famous peach Brandy to Blackberry Brandy, from different chocolate Brandys to winter apple brandy even a whisky or a cognac. And not to forget the Queen of the German wines 'Eiswein'. You will find this seldom wine as well in Stefan's shop. Eiswein must be produced from grapes that have been frozen while still on the vine. The sugar and other dissolved solids do not freeze, but the water does, allowing a more concentrated grape. With Eiswein, the freezing happens before the fermentation, not afterwards. Only healthy grapes keep in good shape until the opportunity arises for an Eiswein harvest, which in extreme cases can occur after the New Year, on a northern hemisphere calendar. This gives Eiswein its characteristic refreshing sweetness balanced by high acidity. Eiswein production is risky (the frost may not come at all before the grapes rot or are otherwise lost) and requires the availability of a large enough labor force to pick the whole crop within a few hours, at a moment's notice, on the first morning that is cold enough. This results in relatively small amounts of Eiswein being made world-wide, making Eiswein generally quite expensive. You have some time in St. Goar come in and enjoy a free wine and Brandy tasting. Or enjoy your time browsing through the Christmas shop. You are visiting St. Goar with a group, no problem give a call and we set up a tasting with some snacks for you. Or what do you think of a free tasting at your home? And don't worry when your bottles get empty you can always order online and we ship it directly to your home. And of course we will reimburse your shipping as well when you order online.

The owner was such a delight and so friendly . I was able to go upstairs to go and look through all the chrismas ornaments and other Christmas stuff. I was able to purchase handmade German Christmas ornaments as well a couple of cuckoo clocks personalize and great wines . Which he shipped to my home and he took care of that personally and he even emailed me . I highly recommend Stefan's wine paradise to everyone "he's the best in all Europe".

In the family owned business most products are still manufactured by the owners. You find a wide range of ecological cooking oils from regional seeds, cold stirred pesto’s and a broad selection of spices with our own Berliner curry or Kreuzberger Muntermacher, also vegan organic cosmetics. Every Saturday we are pressing local gold flax seed oil. We have nice kitchen utilities and local presents.

I was in the shop with my friend at lunch break and I was just accompanied by her. When we entered the naturally fragrant load, we were very warmly welcomed and recommended by the owner. My friend was offered to taste a piece of brownie that she liked very well. We had a lot of laughing and enjoying our break. I bought vegan chocolate and it tasted amazing! Go for a try!

This famous shop brings all the glitz and glamour of the Christmas holidays year round.

On our one day visit we decided to take a look inside the place...... and let me say we were blown away. The year round store is utterly amazing as the shear size and vast variety of Cristmas decor is beyond description. Therefore, if visting Rothenburg take the time to see what I am describing and you will see what I mean.

Cafe Wintergarten in Literaturhaus Berlin

Reviewed By 571donaldk - State College, United States

The combination of a bookstore and café is not played out too much. There IS a bookstore on the ground floor with the café above, but the café dominates, with three+ rooms for convivial meetings and elegant menu items. One of the rooms is a winter garden with a glass ceiling, through which all must enter, so to some extent arrival is one of the café's classiest events. Well-dressed clientele meet mostly for fun and catching up. Breakfast works for those who live, work, or are visiting in the area. It's one quiet block off Kufürstendamm, the chic shopping avenue of Berlin, next to the Käthe Kollwitz Museum. If you're visiting Berlin and staying in the area, it's a great way to start your day.

Dussmann das KulturKaufhaus präsentiert auf fünf Etagen Bücher, Musik und Filme, Hörbücher, Papeterie und Noten. Stadtbekannt sind auch die zahlreichen eintrittsfreien Events.

Reviewed By blairkk25 - New Jersey, United States

I visited the Dussmann bookstore several times during my visit to Berlin in December 2019. I had also visited here a lot during my visit to Berlin in August 2019. There are three stories in addition to the ground floor and a huge selection of books. I like the Berlin guide books on the ground floor, the foreign language learning books on the 3rd floor and also many other sections. There is a whole different book department which sells English language books and books in other languages. The Dusssman das KulturKaufhaus stays open late so I went there in the evening until around 11 pm. They also sell music DVDs and other items.
