Die sehr einfache Möblierung und das Besteck passen so gar nicht zu dem schönen Raum in einem alten Schloss. Das Essen war leider auch nur durchschnittlich. Dafür war die Bedienung aber sehr nett und freundlich und es gab hervorragendes Bier aus einer kleinen regionalen Brauerei.

The place is small and fairly new. There are still some kinks to be worked out, but well worth the visit. The delicious tortes and cakes are baked on the premises. The staff was nice, however, our waitress was a bit overwhelmed, the coffee machine had stopped working...so we drank their very good teas instead.

Tolle Weinbar in einem Gewölbekeller mit einem Weinkompetenten Besitzer und super Service.Selbst um 22:30 haben wir noch einen Schlummertrunk bekommen und nette Gespräche geführt.Beim nächsten mal probiere ich die gebackene Blutwurst

Schon beim Betreten der Gaststätte wurden wir mit freundlcihen Wort darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass im Freien eine geschlossene Gesellschaft bewirtet wird und wir bitte im Gastraum Platz nehmen können. Die freundliche, junge Bedienung ist offensichtlich die Tochter der Wirte und hat das Lokal im besten Sinne "im Griff". Sie bemerkt es sofort, wenn bei den Gästen irgend etwas fehlt oder wenn sie Wünsche entgegennehmen und erfüllen kann. Sehr freundlich und kompetent erledigt sie den Service.Das von ihr servierte Essen (wir hatten beide Roullade mit Rotkraut und Knödel,) erfüllten unsere Erwartungen vollstens. Die KlöÃe waren wirklich hausgemacht, die SoÃe kräftig/würzig abgeschmeckt und das Fleisch war wirklich zart geschmort . Das Rotkraut war genau so weit gegart, wie wir es gerne mögen. Besser hätte ich es selbst nicht machen können ;-)

MEHR als drei Punkte wären im Vergleich zu den besseren Restaurants nicht fair. DIES Restaurant ist aber sehr zu empfehlen, typisch fränkische gute Hausmannskost mit zurückhaltender freundlicher Bedienung.

Four of us had a Sunday Lunch at the crowded Ehrbar Fränkische Weinstube. Duck and Schnitzel are among the specialties. My wife had the boneless 1/4 duck and I the two schnitzels 'Wiener Art. The other couple had a Zander and a Mixed Grill. We also shared tastes of two different soups. Each dish was outstanding. My two schnitzels were thin, tender and juicy. The potato salad and cucumber side was moist and subtly seasoned. My wife's duck had a crispy skin and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The Zander was piled high in a bowl and was also done perfectly. The mixed grill was generous, flavorful and juicy too. All agreed that this was one of the best Gasthaus meals we have eaten. The local wines were of high quality and matched the menu descriptions.I give 5 Point ratings sparingly, but the Ehrbar earned its points on quality alone. The prices were also quite reasonable and the portions were generous.The full house caused the service to be hurried, but we never found the staff to be anything but friendly, courteous, helpful, patient and efficient.

Lovely little find in Markbreit. Antiques throughout but modernized conveniences. We had a double room that came with a sitting area and new bathroom facilities. The bathroom was clearly a different space originally but they did a great job integrating it into the current space. We had room 1 and loved it. Parking garage available for a fee but spaces are a bit tight for Americans at times. Delightful, accommodating staff. Nice breakfast. Restaurant available but we just had drinks there.

You will find the Drachenburg a little bit outside of the small franconian village Marktbreit.The inside of the lokal looks a little bit rustic, but you will find a very excellent food,specially the steak in different varieties is very recommendable. The service was good and very helpful. They have a long steeply stairs, so think about to go if you are not good on foot.

According to our German friends this restaurant can be described as 'typical German'. The atmosphere was quiet despite almost the tables being occupied. Although the menu was, as one would expect, in German, the Maitre d spoke excellent English and took the time to describe the menu to us. They even adjusted the meal for my partner because of an ingredient intolerance.We all four enjoyed our meals and the service was attentive, with some excellent local wine.
