Off the beaten tourist track but worth a detour. An excellent restaurant in the beautiful Black Forest. Definitely recommended.The dining room is very traditional with great atmosphere. The service was fantastic.The dishes are a modern twist on traditional local meal and are excellent prepared by Manuela the wife of the owner Helmut. The use seasonal vegetables, selected local herbs and regional products from farmers, hunters and other local producers. There is a good choice of wines reasonably priced. Ask Helmut, the owner, for his recommendation he is a wine expert. We had an aperitif, two excellent starters, two fabulous main dishes, one awesome dessert, two bottles of water, one bottle of fantastic white wine from the Lake Constance region and two espresso and we paid USD 116.

This restaurant is located near the top of a black forest mountain (hill). Great view into the valley. The menu offers a wide selection. The daily lunch sets are reasonably priced. service was excellent.

Wir wurden zwar freundlich bedient, jedoch mussten wir den Kaffee zwei Mal bestellen und bis dieser endlich kam, war die Torte - welche im Ãbrigen gar nichts besonderes war - fast gegessen. Das Lokal war zu diesem Zeitpunkt kaum besucht. Aufgrund einer Veranstaltung im angrenzenden Saal konnte zudem lediglich Schnitzel / Pommes, Salat vom Buffet oder Torten bestellt werden.

Extremely slow. 20 min you just sit. 15 min you wait for a drink, after 50 min you get a salad... You need to schedule 3 hours for the "restaurant".

Ein gemütliches rustikales Lokal in wundervoller Landschaft.Die Forellen sind köstlich ebenso wie das badische Zwiebelrahmsüppchen zur Vorspeise. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich sehr willkommen.

Wir sind Liebhaber von spanischer Küche und haben den Aufenthalt im Kamino auf der Terrasse sehr genossen. Die Speisen sind sehr fein zubereitet und munden sehr gut. Die Portionen sind eher klein bemessen. Aber dafür überzeugen sie durch die Qualität. Die Dessertvariation hat uns nicht so überzeugt. Die Wartezeiten sind eher lang, aber wenn man im Urlaub ist, spielt das keine Rolle. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Beim Reinkommen weiss man nicht so recht, ob man willkommen ist oder nicht. Aber bei der persönlichen Begrüssung ist der Zweifel vorbei. Das Essen ist sehr gut und die Pommes waren die Besten, die ich seit Jahren gehabt habe!

german gasthof typical decoration, warm and pleasantsufficient carpark space outsidethe service was efficient, polite and friendly but not enthusiasticthe stroganoff beef was good and i was told that the wild boar and the cow tongue good as wellgood beerthe price was reasonablethe choices in the menu were rather short and they took too long to bring the food. for these last two reasons i rank them with an average rating instead of good rating

From the outside the restaurant does not look incredibly inviting. However the interior does not look like much either. Why go here? Go for the food and the friendly down to earth honest service. This restaurant has a heart and a soul. A good menu everything is cooked from scratch. The staff is extremely well trained. Personal wishes are fulfilled. This time I enjoyed the wild garlic (Bärlauch) maultaschen. Delicious and well made. he wild garlic soup was good perphas a little less salt for my tasting but all together this was really good.
