es ist ein alter bauernhof mit wildgehege der umgebaut und später erweitert wurde in ein bauerncafe mit flair. wir fahren dort gerne hin, denn die ruhe die es dort gibt ist herrlich, kein autoverkehr, ein spaziergang von hier durch den benthei-merwald geht bis zum kurhaus bad-bentheim. grafschafter kleinigkeiten für den grossen hunger gibt es auch. wir kommen gerne wieder, denn bedienung und alles weitere ist super.

This restaurant serves "high" German food, I.e. traditional food but cooked & served in a gourmet fashion. On some days they have a taster menu which gives a choice from 12 - 15 dishes, or all of them if you can manage. The decoration is very traditional & comfortable and the whole restaurant is divided into a number of rooms, each with 8 - 15 tables so that you don't feel overcrowded or lost in a barn. There were a lot of local people there when we visited. The prices were middle to high. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit & thoroughly recommend it.

Great local find with a very nice view of the lake. The restaurant chic decor is done tastefully and everything fits together with the ambiance and service. Will definitely come back for dinner.

Wir sind aufgrund eines Gutscheins hier gewesen und können diese Lokalität absolut nicht weiterempfehlen. BegrüÃt wurden wir in Arbeitshose und Schmuddelshirt. Die "Terrasse" auf der wir saÃen, wenn man sie so nennen kann, war gelinde gesagt sehr in die Jahre und herunter gekommen. Klapprige Plastik-Gartentische und Stühle und schmutzige, klebende Oma-Tischdecken und unglaublich viel Getier (Käfer, Ameisen) rundeten das Schmuddelambiente gelungen ab.Der "Koch" (oder sogar der Chef?!), der uns das Tütenessen Kredenzte (Grillteller), wirkte absolut nicht willens und fähig irgendwie einen erwähnenswerten guten Eindruck zu hinterlassen.Sehr heruntergekommener Typ und eher jemand, von dem man sein Essen nicht serviert, geschweige denn gekocht bekommen möchte. Wir haben uns sehr unwohl gefühlt.AuÃerdem stand er mehrmals direkt bei uns am Tisch und quatschte uns mit FuÃball voll - das gehört sich nicht.Sorry, das war nix.Dicke 5- Wir kommen ganz sicher nicht wieder.

We were staying in the hotel and decided to have a meal in the restaurant. As it was 26 degrees we decided to eat out under the trees in the delightful gardens. We were given a basket of lovely olive bread served with olive oil and a herb butter while we chose our meal. I had a chicken dish stuffed with sheeps cheese and herbs with a tomato chutney and my husband had a steak with green pepper sauce. Both were delicious. We had a bottle of wine which was very reasonable. The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. This was one of the best meals we had in three weeks in Germany and I can thoroughly recommend.

It's very nice, especially sitting outside in good weather. The cuisine is somewhat typical german. Their own fresh produce is awesome!

Buon ristorante o meglio trattoria...zuppe buone e saporite. ..carne Buona. ..Locale pulito, tipico tedesco. Nulla di eccezionale ma buono.Servizio veloce e gentile.Prezzo corretto in 2 circa 40 euro con zuppa secondo birra.....

This off the beaten path restaurant is lovely. Inside and outside seating now. In the summer there is the (German version) of golf and the corn maze.Plenty of play equipment for the kids.Very popular with the locals on a bike ride. We came early and were still setting up but happy to let us in and take a seat.MASSIVE cake portion sizes! Very tasty and good coffee.Since last time they have built an new extension, which makes it even better for bad weather functions now.Plenty of street parking.
