I ordered a banana smoothie and a smoothie bowl. Unfortunately both dishes were not satisfied. The smoothie bowl was like water and didn‘t had a good taste. To be fair, the manager didn‘t charge it and I appreciate that. But the issue with the banana smoothie was it was expensive like 5.5 dollars and I payed extra for the almond milk. But I only had like one banana inside and just almond milk.. honestly they are a lot of better restaurant in the area with a better price value! Our deepest apologies that our food didn't meet expected standards but I am glad to hear the manager handled the situation well. For the almond milk we do charge extra because it is home made, fresh and with no preservatives! And for the smoothie you can choose up to 4 fruits so feel free to add more (bananas or other fruits) to make it a bit thicker. I have passed on your comments to the owners and hope you have a better experience if you would come back some day!

This is the first place we stumbled upon when looking for something to eat for lunch. The burritos and salads were fresh and delicious. Service was good too and the whole place had a really laid back vibe, with mainly North Americans. It's positioned right on the Baru river and made for a nice setting. Thanks very much for the great review. We really appreciate it. Hoping to see you back again soon!

Ballena Bistro is my favorite restaurant to visit when I am in Costa Rica. The owner, Liz is extremely hospitable and the food is amazing. When we are staying in Manuel Antonio, having lunch here is our favorite outing. The drive from Quepos is beautiful and the atmosphere at this restaurant is calm and pristine. I highly recommend the quinoa, kale dish but all of the food is delicious.Es una alegría que siempre nos visiten, muchas gracias por el review, nos veremos pronto, pura vida.

We were drawn to try Ohana by its #1 TripAdvisor rating, across all restaurants in Jaco and I must say the top spot has been rightfully earned. Ohana is located on a side street called “Calle Hiaco” which makes the location perfect for an enjoyable dinner since the restaurant is open (back and side wall only).Service is unparalleled. It has been a while since a restaurant owner has approached our table and educated us on what to eat, why and then tailor our food’s preparation to taste and health needs.Esteban, our waiter, was “owner-style” attentive and made sure our dinner experience was one to remember.Cocktails are a must. Try the mojito with Centenario Rum (as opposed to the traditional Flor the Cana) or the cucumber martini (with Grey Goose).Every appetizer and every roll is phenomenal.Enjoy raw, tempura or flambé. Tips:* On weekend or high-season nights, arrive early or call ahead.* Order in waves, family style. Sharing all appetizers and plates across the table is guaranteed to be fun and tasty!
