Our climbing group have been going to Rock Antics for years, staying with them through their several changes. Now they are based in Middlesbrough and provide a no-frills, but plenty of thrills, bouldering venue, along with some nice top roping walls for beginners and school groups. The good thing about Rock Antics is the quality of the routes that they put up, well thought out and providing interesting problems. The setters make sure that there is a good choice of problems for people at all stages of their climbing. The holds are good, and the routes are changed regularly so that we don't get bored...or too used to the climbs. The staff are great, friendly and efficient. You can get hot drinks and snacks. Have a good climb!

Bowling, but cool. 5 lanes, a fully stocked bar and loads of retro arcades. What are you waiting for?

Basement bowling alley tucked away just opposite the town hall. I know Boro centre well but I'd overlooked this place before my boyfriend spotted it. There isn't much to do in the town so this place is great for families, couples or just something a bit different on a night out. The interior is great, really cosy and retro. Decent selection of drinks. Love the retro arcade area and overall feel of the place. Staff are really pleasant. Today was my second visit, this time I brought my daughter and she loved it too. We'll definitely be back again when lockdown lifts. As I said, it seems like there are so few options for things in Boro centre these days, will definitely keep supporting this little bowling alley. Looking forward to our next visit.

We broke out of the Crypt on Halloween in 41 minutes - A great time was had by our family of 5 visiting for my birthday. Jack was our guide and was very helpful with our clues! Not too helpful though and once we got started, the time went by quickly. Wish I'd remembered my glasses to read the clues and open the locks, just as well I had others to help! We'll definitely go back again to try a different room.
