Quick delivery but when you've said that you've said all!!Hi Jan, apologies you weren't happy with your order. I am not sure how this could have happened, especially with the usually quick delivery you mentioned which would mean that it was freshly made and not sat in traffic in a hot bag on its way to you. If you would like to give us a call on 01524 874217 with some further details we will get you a refund sorted and a replacement of our extremely popular chicken stack burger. We have visited this restaurant at least 3 times a year every year with the three children to celebrate their birthdays. The children are aged 4, 13 and 12, so we have been going for many years. It has always been good food and good service. This time when we arrived at the restaurant we were completely ignored when we initially entered, despite being noticed by a member of staff. We had to sit down at the nearby table as my mother can't stand for long. Eventually the male waiter came walking past us - No friendly smile, greeting or any pleasantry. He simply said 'I'll be back in 5 minutes'. This was not the welcome we had expected. I turned to look at the rest of the family and I believe another waitress in the kitchen saw our expressions - She came out and welcomed us.I mentioned that as per the booking we had asked for balloons on the table (as usual) but she advised us that they don't do this anymore - I'm not sure why we weren't told about this before when we booked and requested it, but that isn't too important in the scale of things. We were taken to our table and given our menus. After a short time a male waiter came over and asked us for our order. I mentioned that we were using Meerkat Meals (as we have always done since it started) and at that point the servers attitude got bad. He said that as there were 3 children with us they cannot accept it. I pointed out that we have been using this at least three times per year and never had an issue before. He just said that head office had been in and they are not to take them. I explained that the 3 children we were paying full price for as they are excluded from the offer as per the T&C's, but he said it didn't matter. I mentioned that as we have two separate Meerkat Meal cards between us and would sit at separate tables, but was told they wouldn't allow this either. We mentioned that we may cancel and go elsewhere. He did go away and speak to a lady manager who agreed that it should be accepted, but the way he treat us throughout the visit was dreadful. He was sarcastic, unfriendly, unprofessional and left us all very annoyed - It completely spoilt the upbeat feeling we had when we arrived. When he arrived back to the table he said 'Are you going then' (in reference to our suggestion that we may leave). Again, it was the way he spoke to us. I've never had anyone speak to me in that way before. It was not in any way acceptable.I know at this point they had already agreed to accept the offer, but that wasn't the issue at this point. It was the way we had all been spoken too. I asked to speak to the manager and he went away. Around 10 minutes later he returned to say 'Do you want to speak to the manager' to which I replied 'I have been waiting'. He replied with some sarcastic comment and she did eventually come to see us.Unfortunately although I kept saying that the issue we have wasn't now related to the discount but the way we have been spoken to. She didn't seem to understand this and kept going back to the fact that they will accept the Meerkat Meals discount. We asked for another server to deal with us and that was much better. When we finished the meal we asked for the birthday cake to be brought out. After several minutes they came to us to tell us that they didn't have any matches or lighter to light the candles - Again, we have never experienced this before. One of us had to leave the restaurant and go into a couple of shops nearby to try and find some matches. We got some and that was sorted. No sharp knife or side plates were brought out with it but we asked for plates and struggled with a regular knife. From the moment we complained service slowed completely down for us - Even asking for the bill took so long. It was wrong too, despite the previous issues. When it was corrected we were told we would need to wait for the manager because she needs to approve Meerkat Meals discounts? - Why? - This has never happened before. We were in this restaurant for 3 hours 15 minutes from the point we entered to the point we left.I don't know what has happened at this restaurant but having a look on Tripadvisor it doesn't appear that our visit was completely unique. Service was dreadful, their organisation for birthdays was non existent, the food however was lovely.I had to leave the restaurant at one point due to the way the waiter spoke to me - I was that mad, surprised and shocked at the way he argued with us. Especially in front of the children and my niece who's birthday it was. It made us uncomfortable for the entire visit. As we didn't feel our complaint was dealt with satisfactorily at the time I complained to Head Office on my return. They advised me though that the complaint would be dealt with by the store (which sort of defeats the purpose). Anyway, the gentlemen at Customer Services asked me what I would be happy with as a resolution. I wasn't really sure. He asked if I would like a full refund to which I said OK, and I also requested a written apology. It was discussed that both were the least I could really expect considering how it ruined the birthday. As expected, and as the request was sent to the restaurant directly, this request was rejected. Instead they offered a £20 gift card. Not once did they apologise. The letter with the gift card basically said find enclosed gift card as agreed. No sorry, no apologies, not even any excuse.I'm extremely disappointed that we needed to complain in the first place, but for the same team to decide on the outcome doesn't seem fair to me! - I'm sure the store doesn't want to acknowledge the issues experienced to Head Office as it of course reflects badly on them.We certainly won't be returning to this Pizza Hut again and will make sure everyone we know finds out about the disaster and experience that we encountered from Pizza Hut.

First thing I noticed about this takeaway was that the menu was also in Chinese usually a good sign.Service was very quick and efficient even though it was a Saturday evening. We had chilli and salt spare ribs, very meaty and almost juicy with enough chilli heat, these were the stand out of the meal. We also enjoyed Singapore vermicelli which had less of a curry flavour and hotter than usual but still very nice, and Szechwan bean curd, a tasty tofu dish, good to see a good selection for vegetarians.Portion size was generous and we will visit again when in the area.

In my oppinion a bad move, people will pay extra for good quality food. The extra cost should be introduce as and when the ingredient cost increse. not as an accumulated lump sum. But to keep the price low by reducing the quality makes one wonder if it is worth the extra journey.I'm terribly sorry you think we have changed the quality of our baps, I can assure you we haven't but due to the colder weather the baps can 'tighten up' similar to bread that's gotten cold in a household kitchen. We have been freezing in the van, which is akin to cooking in a bus stop over these last few weeks. Our baps are delivered fresh every morning from Wigan and they haven't changed the recipe but the prices have gone up. I'd also like to thank you for pointing out our prices are LOW too low in fact, and this is something we are rectifying to keep in line with all the other establishments around us who have put their prices up, we are putting our prices up in the next week or 2. I hope you do make the extra journey and I'd also like it if people have an issue they raise it when stood with us so we can rectify it instead of it hurting our small business by leaving negative reviews. We are not ogres and would gladly sort any issue out. Thank youAmanda

Polite service, prompt delivery and reasonable price, but the Jalfrezi was much hotter than I was expecting and I had to leave quite a lot and the chicken massala although tasty looked like a tray of sauce in which I found 8 pieces of chicken and measured over 400ml of sauce and nothing else. I’d give it another try with different dishes.

Been today when visiting Lanchester. Ordered a Burrito meal and fries and a taco meal with fries. My burrito had the hot ingredients added and then was left open to go cold while the tacos were assembled. When it was finally wrapped up in foil it was too cold to melt the cheese. The chips on both meals were stone cold. To add insult to injury I was charged an extra £5 by a staff member who took her cap off and touched her hair. Debatable hygiene. Sat upstairs. Place looked dirty. There was a food prep counter upstairs that was cluttered. Can not recommend anything about this place.

I was recommended this place by a friend last week so thought we would give it a go. Phoned up around 9.15pm Fri night the man on the phone was very pleasant. We ordered a 14" seafood pizza stuffed mushrooms and garlic potatoes. The food arrived around 10pm by what I presumed to be the same polite man. The food was piping hot aswell. The pizza was the best I've ever ordered in Lancaster and the garlic potatoes were really tasty. I don't think I will be ordering pizza from anywhere else in the future. Definitely recommend this place, just can't believe I didn't know about it sooner. Thanks again for great food and great service. We will be back.
