Wow! How wonderful is this place the colours and the smell of the lavender is amazing. Open June through to August you can walk amongst the lavender and take photos and soak up the fantastic area. There are a few photo opportunities with a red phone box, sign post etc. A lovely shop selling all things lavender and a cafe with food containing lavender including ice cream cupcakes and tea. A must try. Well organised during the COVID-19 social distancing measurements and the staff were well informed. Car park is free but get full quick so it’s first come

Bocketts Farm Park

Bocketts Farm is a working family farm set in the beautiful Surrey countryside. The combination of animals and play areas, both inside and out, make our farm one of the South East's most popular all weather attractions. Whether it's a family day out, a school or group trip or one of our popular birthday parties, you can be sure to have fun, come rain or shine. Watch the pig race, take a pony ride, hop on board the tractor and trailer, cuddle cute rabbits and feed our many wonderful farm animals. Being a working farm, there are always baby animals to see including lambs, kids, piglets and chicks. With trampolines, giant slides, a bouncy pillow, 2 large indoor play barns and outdoor adventure trails, plus lovingly homemade food in our gorgeous Old Barn Tearooms, Bocketts Farm Park makes for a brilliantly exciting day out for the entire family

My nephews used to go to Bockets Farm when tiny and always loved it, so for the eldest ones 21st birthday it was an ideal trip down memory lane with his younger brother, his girlfriend, his mum & I. We weren’t the only group of just adults either. Lots to see and do, tractor rides, goat milking, petting & feeding of animals, pig racing and lots of happy, chatty & helpful staff. Nice tea room where we got toasted sandwiches and ciders, well we are all over 18! Holly was stung unfortunately by a wasp but the staff were lovely with a cool pack & advice. Lots of hand wash stations around so you could happily feed some of the animals but clean up easily. Drinking water taps as well so you could replenish your water which was very needed on such a hot day. You could also come in & out with picnics & so forth. I had the best day and my pig Piggy Stardust won the race ????. I would think for a family day out with youngsters this would be ideal, they had a disco in the afternoon, a big adventure park, inflatable pillows to jump on, go karts, huge sandpit, indoor mini tractors, pirate ship, pig woods, pony rides, tractor rides and open space for running around. I want to go again, and the little piglets and baby pigmy goats ???? and pudding the guinea pig ???? just a lovely time

Today my 9 year old daughter had a 2 hour Farmer Experience which entailed her grooming horses and donkeys, feeding pigs, chickens and geese and petting a variety of animals from a baby chick to an 88 year old tortoise. She pretty much got to engage with every animal on the farm, topped off by a tractor ride and loved every minute of it! Our Farmer Helena was knowledgeable, encouraged my daughter to be interactive with the animals and made the whole experience fun, she obviously has a real passion for animals and enjoys seeing the kids do the same! A brilliant day out :-)

Wintershall Estate

I booked this on a whim, and both my husband and I were so glad I did! Despite the weather and mud (caused by the weather!) we had a truly enjoyable afternoon, which gave us both back some of the lost joy of the Christmas season. The play starts outside and the audience moves around as the action goes from field to "inn" door back to field, then after about 20? minutes moves into the barn theatre, where the rest of the play takes place and where the audience sits on tiered wooden benches. The cast are amazing and incredibly professional, which is all the more to their credit when you know that very nearly all of them are local amateurs. The acting, costumes and singing were excellent and the use of numerous sheep, a donkey and three horses/ponies (all of whom behaved incredibly well), as well as an incredibly calm baby (at least, for the performance we saw!) just added to the magic. Use of lights, smoke and some pyrotechnics was very well done as well. Tips: arrive in plenty of time; we were in the coach park (because of the weather conditions) which was quite a distance from the performance itself, although we were given a ride in a farm buggy part of the way. The final section of the walk is quite steep uphill, although they did seem to have some transport on hand for those unable to make the ascent on foot. Make sure you have plenty of warm layers (although we were lucky and it was a warm December afternoon, I can imagine it can get very cold indeed), and think carefully about footwear, in particular - for this year's performances, due to the recent daily heavy rains, wellies were absolutely essential to avoid ruining other footwear such as walking shoes in the, at times, very thick mud, but if was frosty/icy you would probably be better with walking shoes. The website suggests bringing cushions for in the barn, but to be honest there wasn't really space to be getting them out and the benches weren't that uncomfortable anyway! If you go to an evening performance, I can imagine that a torch will be very handy for getting to and from the car park. This play is suitable for almost all ages except the very very young and anyone who is quite frail/elderly. We will almost certainly go again another year!

Garsons Garden Centre

Reviewed By holidayhoney65 - Chessington, United Kingdom

Over the years we have had many visit to Garsons and seen it grown into the huge place that it is now. This time we took my grandson fruit picking which he thoroughly enjoy. The strawberries are grown in high level troughs so there is no bending to pick the fruit which is great for slightly older people who may want to go. Have picked our fill of strawberries and raspberries we went for a wander round the shop and garden centre which has so much to offer and I defy anyone to leave without buying something. Lastly we stopped off at the restaurant for a coffee and a cold drink. The restaurant is large with lots of seating inside and out. I can't comment on the food as we did not eat but the cake looked impressive.

Piglets Play Centre

Reviewed By Claire_Moorhead - Surrey, United Kingdom

Piglets is such a cute and easy venue to take little ones to. My one year old loves it here and both of my nieces (aged 2 & 3) love it here too. There’s something really charming about the place with friendly staff and things for the Little’s to do inside and out. The soft play inside is a good size for all ages and the farm set up and playground outside is also great fun. There a nice selection of food and drinks to buy including healthy snacks. Entry charge seems reasonable too. I think they’ve handled the Covid situation well and it feels safe and well organised. My only criticism would be the booking system could be a bit easier with the only option being to call/ text a mobile number and on a few occasions when I’ve wanted to take my son, I’ve been unable to get through and no one called or text me back.
