The boss to myself and a co-worker there for dinner one night. First time I've been in a restaurant that has a 2 hour dinner limit! Food was excellent. We all enjoyed several different plates of meat. Would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Always an enjoyable stay had at this little hotel, super service and friendly staff. I have stayed at this hotel countless times over the past 12 years and have always enjoyed it . Only critism is the pillows are to flat for my liking.

Went there with my colleagues. We had a very good six course dinner. The food was both fish and meat. The waiter was really helpful, fun and provided an excellent service. He even had google translate read what the courses were in Icelandic. I recommend that everybody that is traveling to Winterswijk or close by to have dinner there.

My husband and I arrived last night for dinner with high expectations for this Michelin one star restaurant and things started out very well indeed. They had reserved a table outside on the veranda for us, as we requested but weren't promised, and our drinks arrived with a creative assortment of snacks on the house. There is no English menu but our waiter expertly translated it all for us and we chose our starters and main course with anticipation. A bottle of chilled white wine arrived with our starters soon after ordering and the food was as delicious as it was artfully presented. The snag came when more people arrived and things got busy and our main course order seemed to have been lost in the shuffle. We waited and waited and finally after what seemed like 30 minutes, my husband got up and found the waiter (he hadn't seen us waving to him) and asked where our order was. He apologized and said the kitchen had gotten behind but we had witnessed other tables getting their main courses when they had ordered after us. Anyway, the main course finally arrived and was excellent. We next ordered one dessert to share, never thinking we'd have to wait again for ice cream but we did, way more than we should have. By the time we left, we were very disappointed in our evening and will not return there again. We don't know if it was our waiter (he should have seen us sitting at our table with no food for so long but didn't appear to notice or check on us) or the kitchen staff that lost or mixed up our order. Anyway, lovely ambiance and food, terrible service.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen im Haus terrahe und von Anfang an begeistert. Alle Speisen, von Vorspeise über Hauptgang bis zum Dessert waren toll serviert und sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war super zuvorkommend

The restaurant of the Hotel Zur Krone is a fascinating and charming pub, constructed in the same classical style as the hotel itself. The restaurant menu is somewhat limited, with not too many options available. However, the dishes are well-prepared, with particular focus on presentation. One should also keep a lookout for 'speciality days', when certain items and dishes are served, that are not found on the regular menu. The food is somewhat expensive, but well worth the taste.

Firstly it took over an hour before we got our first course (of small salad and soup) there was no apology. I love just tomatoes and salad with a good dressing so ordered that. The salad turned out to be bitter red radachio and bitter lettuce with 6 quarters of rock hard tasteless cheap tomatoes arranged around the outside of the plate, even the olive oil was bitter and nasty. 45 minutes after that, my mixed fish arrived (â¬18.50) it consisted of a slab of salmon, a tiny sliver of white fish and one overcooked, tasteless prawn. To accompany this delight was a spoonful of diced potates, burnt on one side and white on the other. If there was an Italian in that kitchen, he/she should be ashamed. The 2 course meal for 2 with wine was â¬82.00. Never again.

yesterday we were at Hundewickerbahnhof again (after many months). We first had a beer in the magnificant garden, when it turned a bit fresh we went inside for our meal. The performance by Dieter ( the chef) and his team was a real winner. Our starters (traditional) french onion soup and carpacio were great, my wife's fish with pasta and my pork with pasta were just excellent. Adding a very friendly and assertive staff makes the place a real recommendation!
