I visited HQ with my boyfriend for a chilled afternoon, sundowners and to soak up the beach atmosphere. Iâd been to Catch bar, which is linked to HQ, a few times so was looking forward to it.The bar is right on the beach and offers a choice of sun loungers, mini cabanas or a sala nest (very comfy!) to rest in.The staff are great, very attentive and friendly.The food was also very good.However, HQ will not be at its best until the construction work to its right, building a new beachside resort, is complete. It is immediately next door and thereâs lots of noise from the power tools until late into the evening. On the other side of the bar, Cafe Del Mar is situated - there is a sound clash with their music and HQâs. This, coupled with the construction does not make it a very relaxing venue.I look forward to returning in a couple of years when itâs all completed to se the transformation.Dear Vikster76,Thank you so much for having visited HQ Beach Lounge.Indeed, the finishing development of Intercontinental Hotel next to us is creating some disturbances however it will be completed by April this year as the hotel will open.Regarding our neighbor beach club, we are continuously trying to minimize the disturbance for the benefit of both parties.See you again soon for more relaxed moments.Until thenOlivier

Is been quite a long time I knew this italian restaurant and everytime I am surprised about the dish served. Pizzas are wonderful in texture and especially the taste... Real italian cusine. What I can say is that a lot of care is been given on preparation and selection of all ingredients. The place is situated in a walking street from beach to Big C not hard to find. I suggest you all to try out this place and guarantee that you will be happy about food and enjoy the low price. Last week, aft lunch, I was just walking along the main street of Kamala and bumped in this place. It was slightly tugged away from the main thoroughfare so people may missed it and its not surprising. Wanted to take a breather from the heat, I went in the restaurant and rest. I saw the bread, the croissant, the place, the French lady boss, the staff, the atmosphere, I decided to order more than a drink. I asked whats good here and the waitress recommended a quiche for a not so heavy meal. Three types avail, but she highly recommend the bacon chips. Tired of deciding, I just go with the flow. When the food came, I was still quite full. But I gobbled up the quiche and the sides of fresh greens in no time. It was AROI mak mak (very delicious). Kudos to the staff who served me. She was good. Natural, not pushy, clever, and knows how to engage the customer. Pity I didn't get her name. She can't really speak Eng. Had another coffee and a smoke before I left a smiling and satisfied customer. WILL BE BACK FOR SURE! WITH MY WIFE, she will love it! (prices can be a little high if you are comparing to the other stuff around there though...)Thank you Kim for this nice comments and hope to see you soon with Madam to try ours pastries who are our best seller !

We used this restaurant as a shelter from torrential downpour as we escaped from the beach and it turned out to be fairly decent place. Reasonably priced food and drink and of good quality and good size portions. Staff was very polite too. Would go back.

Food is fresh n delicious. We had a burger n some kind of fried noodles. Compare to the price, the portion is pretty small.Service personal is very slow n act a bit "stoned"The german owner is easy kindet n friendly.

A family evening meal with a good choice of both Tai and traditional international dishes overlooking Kampala bay A local singer with a good voice , nice guitar technique but questionable enunciation sat at one end playing a wide selection of 60âs and 70,s hits . The food was interesting -salads and cucumber soup very tasty but the steamed fish had an acceptable but unusual taste . The pizza went down well . We went here for dinner, as a family of 6 persons. The service and food was great. The portions are very generous compared to the prices. We all tried different dishes (ribs, chicken, fried chicken) and all dishes were good. Would definitely return if we come back to Kamala.

We ate at Blue Manao several times during our holiday in Kamala both this year and last year. Food was always of a very high standard. The green curry is particularly good, so would recommend it. Service is also good. Restaurant is definitely one of the best in Kamala so I would advise booking in advance, especially during high season. Prices are very competitive, especially given the quality of the food served.Thank you for coming many times at the blue manao.We hope to see you again on your next visit.Blue manao team.

The seafood risotto was excellent. My pasta was very well done - just like my grandmother from Italy would have done. Unexpected to experience authentic Italian food with great service. We had our food at evening time and found good in taste. Seating in open with roofs .. and good ambience make this restaurant great. We had Paobhaji and other food items. Carry your own water bottles here.. or pay 60/- bath for 500 ml water. Can have food here for sure...
