I returned to Schillers again after 6 years, and found that things have not changed at all. High standards still prevail at this establishment. The food is outstanding and everything sampled was excellent. Service was very professional and attentive. Every attention happily was given to adapt a dish for myself to make it vegetarian. The restaurant has a feeling of "Gemütlichkeit", which in German means the idea feeling of warmth, friendliness and good cheer. Prices are high, but it is nice for that special night out.Reservations are recommended.

We visited this restaurant on Sunday afternoon in 23 August 2015. Because of the unusual number of bees this summer and because the sky looked overcast; we debated whether to sit inside or outside. We finally decided to eat outside and it did not rain and we only saw one bee during our meal. We did not make a reservation prior to our visit. However, luckily we found a table still available outside when we arrived. The kitchen specializes in German Cuisine. The Menu is a limited Menu with fixed plates. The Menu was easy to read and understand. Plus, salads, soups, and fish plates (for vegetarians) are also available. The Menu also has dishes for those with a small (seniors) or big appetites and meals for children. Prices are average; food portions are average and fair. The Menu is also available in the entrance to the passage way to the restaurant. Also, in the Hof - Biergarten there are several black boards on the wall with meal specials posted. When our Menus arrived, we ordered our drinks at the same time. Our drinks came relatively quickly and they were nice and cold (with ice – which was nice on a hot day). And, our drinks came before our food arrived, as it should be. Also, we did NOT have to play the drink game; where someone else brings your drinks and then asks you again, who ordered what. We did however have to play this game at the end of our meal, when my partner ordered coffee. Also, here they serve Pepsi not Coke, if that matters to you. I can drink both. Shortly after we ordered our drinks, we were served some bread in a small turn-down paper bag with paprika butter. The small brown bag was a novel idea, but when the bread was gone, the bag started to blow away from the wind. I had to grab it and weight it down with something on the table. So, brown bag for the bread - novel idea but not such a good idea. Our mixed salads were served fresh with a great salad dressing. Both side salads were served at the same time and before our main entrée, as it should be. Plus, our food came quickly, but the negative was that our entrées came before we were done with our salads; not ideal.Another novel but functioning idea, was that our food and drink orders were taken at the table by our waitress with a computerized order system that immediately communicated our order to the kitchen. Plus, we noticed that the waiters and waitresses wore a simple uniform of a checkered green shirts and jeans, giving them a professional look.I ordered the Schnitzel vom Schweinerücken, with sliced fried potatoes, (not French fries - so substitutions are possible) und Salätchen for 11,90 Euro, which came with 2 large pieces of Schnitzel. My partner ordered the Gebratene Hähnchenbrust, mit Champignonrahmsoße, Pommes und Salätchen for 12,90 Euro. I tried my partner’s Gebratene Hähnchenbrust and therefore, I can recommend both dishes as delicious. Both meals were from fresh meat, served hot, and as we had ordered them. However, I noticed that another guest had a lot more French fries than my partner; I suggest this restaurant either establish a standard or review their current standard portion of fries, to provide consistency. While neither my partner nor I were offered ketchup or mayonnaise for our potatoes, we did not ask for any either. The restaurant’s outside area is divided into 3 sitting areas. The outside tables and chairs are sturdy. The outside decorations are simple in an old fashion brown wood motif with wooden tables, wooden chairs, wooden bench, a large wooden barrel, and black boards on the wall with specials posted on them. From the outside tables one sits in a pleasant garden atmosphere with live plants, bushes, and trees. The outside tables are simply decorated, with: no table cloth, salt and pepper dispensers, coasters, ash tray, and paper napkins (which I prefer) with silverware in a pitcher. The outside area is roomy and well organized concerning space and the tables are nicely spaced with room between them for people to move about within the Hof - Biergarten without having to disturb other customers and even with the tables full; it is not chair back on chair back. There are mostly tables for 2 that can be place together for groups of 4, 6, 8, or 12 people. So, by moving the tables and chairs together, if necessary, it would be a great place for a special occasion or a big group. Sun umbrellas covering the outside tables and each umbrella had a light underneath. I was not inside the restaurant during this visit, so I can NOT review anything about the inside of the restaurantBecause the restaurant lies back from the fussgangerweg, the noise level from the street is greatly reduced and the Biergarten is quiet. It is a shame that the restaurant does not have background music playing outside. Unfortunately, the three negatives about sitting outside 1) are from some of the tables there is a view of a trash container, but the area around the trash container was clean, 2) are the smokers, but better having the smokers outside than inside and 3) is the passage way and the terrace floor was not 100% clean, with some cigarette butts and some paper trash on the ground. As the waitress picked up our empty plates, she did ask if everything was OK. Then my partner ordered a coffee and when she returned we played the drink game. When my partner was finished with her coffee, we paid our bill, received the correct change, gave the waitress her tip and left for home. This restaurant does not have it own parking lot and therefore one has to go hunting for a parking space on a side street and pay for parking. There is a city parking lot about 100 meters from the restaurant that is often full. However, we luckily found a parking space here and because it was Sunday, it did not cost to park. Disabled access: The negative is that disable persons must find a parking space on a side street, at least 100 meters away. However, once in the fussgangerweg the passage to the Biergarten and the Biergarten itself are both on the same level. While disables persons can easily reach the outside eating areas, the access to the restaurant inside, due to the two steps up before the restaurant entrance, is not as easy. Outside chairs can be removed to provide wheelchair access to the outside tables. This restaurant has its own Internet page. This Internet page has lots of information on it, such as the address, telephone number, opening hours, email contact information, photos, special offers, special events, and an On-line Drink and Food Menus. But it is only in German.Summary: Based on friendliness, taste, price, service, and atmosphere, my overall rating for this restaurant is a high recommendation. We will be back.

Hidden gem at the side of the river. Would never had thought that this was a restaurant if not for TripAdvisor and Google. Yay to the power of the internet. Had it not been for that, this gem would have gone undiscovered.First off, the seating area is above the kitchen and with full glass covering the place, it is bright and cozy place that allows for a stunning view of the river and the bank across.Secondly, going there before the lunch crowd was a plus as it allowed us the freedom to move around and take pictures as we liked.Drinks here were a bit more pricey as compared to the other places we've eaten at, but it is to be expected. The food portion tho looking small/little, was filling and tasty.Recommend this place for a romantic dinner or special occasion. Give this place a try if you want to just sit and admire the river in shaded comfort as boats go by.

The whole walk up to this castle is the beginning of an experience. Inside the castle it is not immediately obvious where the restaurant is located - in the cellar- but that just shows how huge the castle is. The cellar is is ventilated and has nicely curved white ceiling sections with clear-cut lines complemented by white walls coupled with original stone walls. The walls have been sparsely decorated with original musical instruments which each receives illumination from a lamp as were they pieces of art. Other pictures include black white photography with a musical theme. On the stone walls old style painting dominate. The tables and chairs have real white covers in high quality, properly oldfashioned and ironed. The tables even have real colourful flowers which break up the white and stone wall in black and white and grey. The food is also of the highest quality. The proper menu, as opposed to a la carte, is hard to find (at the very back of the menu were normally the deserts would be). this is in fact very good value at around 49 Euros which include five dishes, including soup, cod, steak, munster cheese, and dessert. The house aperitif was worth the recommendation. It is hard to find this level of restaurant in this area. I am certainly going to take customers here as the interior is as impressive as the menu.

We were staying in Weitersburg and found this place on Trip Advisor. The staff were very patient with our inability to speak much German with regard to questions about the menu. However, it does not really matter because we ordered 4 different items and they were all excellent. I truly enjoyed the salmon (Latz) and my wife had the special which was a local fish from the Rhine River. My son stated his meatballs were the best he has ever had. Parking is difficult but I found a spot on a street near enough as there small parking lot was filled.
