Reviewed By hannaha465We all had the most incredible time and its all thanks to Villa Tantawan for their superb service which I will break down as follows: The Villa We stayed in Villa 5 which has amazing views to the sea and into the mountains. The villa is massive which was more than adequate for my family of 4 with two adult children. Each bedroom was big with a large double bed, plenty of storage and a large on suite with overhead rain shower. The 3rd bedroom had a balcony to the side and both bedrooms shared a large balcony that had great views and overlooked the pool. The only thing lacking was that there was no outdoor furniture which I’m sure they will correct. The master bedroom on the ground was also big which had a large jacuzzi tub overlooking the mountains, My Husband and I put this to good use. The outside had plenty of sun loungers and the pool was massive. Privacy is very good as well. The Staff Although the villa sells itself it is really the staff that make Villa Tantawan a 5-star experience. They were all incredible and made us feel very important. Special mention to Tuck who was our main contact when we needed anything (and we asked for a lot) from arranging the shuttle to take us places, to being picked up, to ordering food and drink, suggestions on where to go and much more. Tuck was so responsive and accommodated our every need. She was lovely and always smiling. Thanks Tuck. The general manager Diego was amazing as well. he would check in on us from time to time to see how everything was, over saw the amazing BBQ (I’ll touch on this later) and put our mind at ease when we first arrived due to the whole covid situation. Really nice guy and really took care of us. Other mentions were the other staff Anna, Yupa, Tata, Khwan, Ya Rueng and Mr Wai who took care of us from daily room cleaning, driving us around, managing the BBQ and just general excellent customer service in attending to our every need. The in-villa BBQ This was one of the highlights of our trip and was just incredible. We were treated like VIPs with a spread which included pork ribs, a variety of fish, prawns, chicken and sides of mozzarella cheese, bread, and fruit. There was no expense spared and the effort put in made us feel very special. This is a must if you come to Villa Tantawan and was great value considering the amount of food and effort that went into it. Overall Resort The overall resort is lovely and well maintained. We didn’t get to experience the restaurant as it was closed due to covid, but my husband did use the gym a couple of times which is nice. Equipment is a little dated, but you can still get a good workout in. The resort is up a steep hill, but this was never a problem as we always had the shuttle on call for us whenever we needed to get around, even for just simple things like going to the supermarket or ATM. If you are planning to visit Kamala staying at Villa Tantawan is a must, from amazing accommodation to excellent staff and service (and also lovely food) we had the holiday of a lifetime, and it was all thanks to Villa Tantawan ?

Reviewed By Footprints809878These apartments are fantastically situated in a great location, really large apartment with pool and right on the beach , service and happiness of the staff is excellent, we only stayed for three nights but we will be booking again for a longer stay next time, I have to make a special mention to Nok on reception and the baggage and maintenance bog who helped my wife when we had a medical emergency, they looked after my wife when I was admitted to hospital, thank you all so much . The drinks bar is fantastic and well priced with great restaurants all around outside .

The Palms Family Resort is the perfect family holiday resort. It is ideally situated in the heart of Kamala Beach, with the beautiful beach being only metres from The Palms entrance; with shops, bars and restaurants all very near. The Palms has two large swimming pools, Fitness Centre, great restaurant, friendly staff, 24 hour reception, and has a selection of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units to choose from. Select either hotel rooms, two bedrooms apartments, or three bedroom Penthouses. All are fully air conditioned, and en-suite bathrooms. Apartments and Penthouses come with full kitchen, lounge/dining area, and own balcony, or roof terraces.

Amazing hotel and staff
Reviewed By hidasihWe adored this place, amazing and nice staff who helped us in everything. Very clean room and the whole hotel has great smell (tea oil) They provide beach towel on daily basis. The price is also great absolutely valuable,about 10 mins walk from the beach. We have enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Nice apartments but a taxi ride away from Kamala
Reviewed By gethingdckWe stayed for one night in a 3 bed apartment. This was well equipped and spacious. The resort has a small pool with loungers. There is a restaurant next door but other than this very little in the immediate vicinity. The main drawback is the distance from Kamala. It’s is walkable but will take 20mins are more.

Had a lovely time
Reviewed By dianedO3011OYStayed at this condo resort for three months from mid Dec to mid March. Loved the overall stay and our apartment was great. The only downside was being poolside, you tended to have idiots who loved using the pool at night, and would make a noise well into the night. The staff here were really friendly and always had a smile for you. Took about 20 mins to walk to the beach, but if I had small kids, I wouldn’t like the walk since it’s along a small road and around some dodgy corners, often scooters would come straight at you. But we found the walk fine.

Reviewed By Emcart99We had a Wonderful stay at these apartments. Very spacious, two huge bedrooms, large balcony, nice living area and kitchen. All spotlessly clean. Wifi and aircon. Free bottles of water everyday. Staff are very helpful and friendly. You can use the hotel pool which is over the main road (free tuk tuk to there and to the beach if it's too hot to walk). They give you a free mobile to use if you need to call them for tuk tuk etc. Beach is a 5/10 minute walk away, bars and restaurants all close by. You can borrow beach towels and change them everyday. Pool is like bath water temperature- was very quiet when we were there. Lots of toys and floats etc for kids to borrow. If you book breakfast, a tuk tuk takes you to beautiful beachfront restaurant and food is good. There's croissants, toast, doughnuts, cereal, yogurt, a varied hot selection of sausage, bacon, roastie potatoes, rice etc plus a wonderful omelette station where they'll cook you eggs anyway you want. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Reviewed By chocwafflemonekylike they say, in life, all things are relative. i would say this place is "very good" for the price, cos that's certainly quite a bit you're getting. a mostly fully functioning room including a safe in the wardrobe, great strong airconditioning (albeit a little loud at night when it's quiet outside), decent view if you are on a higher floor (i.e. 4 or 5), a cute pool on the rooftop so you definitely get sun at any hour of the day (as long as the sun is out). some niggling small matters, like the shower switch mounted weird so you don't know which way is hot/cold, dead bugs under the bed, & a dead bird in the spillover channel by the pool for a few days until cleared. a great home restaurant literally 20 steps next door, another place selling european food & a great evening bar behind. they need to keep up a little with maintaining the place, else at some point it won't be worth its cheap price. a great place still for now!

Reviewed By Trek80788Stayed here for a week with my toddler. Apartments are very spacious and pool is great. Staff are very friendly and very welcoming. All self catering facilities available. Kamala and Patong are close by car, taxi or bike. Overall would highly recommend this property if self catering is what you are looking for.
