People are drawn to this church because the Burns Mausoleum in the graveyard but there is so much more to see as well. The graveyard is full of fascinating monuments which hint at the extraordinary history of Dumfries. If the church is open, please do not fail to visit, it is as fascinating as the churchyard. We were greeted by two friendly ladies one of whom took us on a tour of the building and was very knowledgeable about the history of the church
