West Coast Fossil Park

We were very impressed with this well laid out museum in a modern newly constructed buildingand with the guided tour to see fossils of mostly extinct animals in situ in the ground. R100 for both is very good value. It's well worth 2-3 hours of your time.

Kraalbaai Beach/Lagoon

Situated along the west coast of South Africa, near Langebaan

Reviewed By Heatherybluff - George, South Africa

The West Coast National Park was a stunning find, worth the rather steep entry fee, especially because of this exquisite beach. It is reminiscent of an island paradise with its clear turquoise waters and white sandy, uncrowded beaches. Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Black Eagle Brewing Company

Nano brewery in the heart of the Langebaan village brewing small batch award winning beer. Pairs perfectly with people, food and music.

Reviewed By Don_G_Wright - Vancouver, Canada

Oh Black Eagle, why only open a few hours a week when your beer is so good and should be available full time? Of course, this is a small brewery, probably just trying to keep up with bar and restaurant tap orders, but when you’re on foot and this tasting room is just a few metres from the beach, it would be so nice to hang out on the patio for an hour any random afternoon you are in the area. Also, because the seating includes some long tables, it opens conversation between travellers like us and local craft beer enthusiasts — and the selection of board games means if there is a lull in the conversation you can play a game or two. Check out the hours and make a point of dropping by, you’ll be glad you did!
