Whistler Mountain Bike Park

Whistler Mountain Bike Park has something for every level of rider. Gentle, banked cruisers through the Coastal forest. Tight and twisty single track - perfect for intermediate riders. For the armour clad, full face wearing, 50lb. bike group there are steep rock faces, gnarly, root strewn lines, drop offs of all descriptions and more.

Excellent organisation of the lifts, very smooth operation. Brilliant variety of graded trails which you can work your way through. Good for experienced cyclists, but challenging for the absolute beginner. Worth hiring protective gear if you haven't taken yours. Check when the season starts and finishes before you go. Although it looked busy from the bottom, once on the hill you meet very few people. Worth checking out the various bike hire places for the best deals and booking in advance. Plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby too.

Northstar Rails 2 Trails

Northstar Rails to Trails is a 28 km paved path that links the Cities of Cranbrook and Kimberly. Users can bike, run, walk or rollerblade over this picturesque setting. The trail has numerous access/parking areas. The trail uses the old Northstar branch rail bed. Dry toilets are located at 3 points along the route. Makes for great family outing, small groups or individuals. Depending on your fitness level expect the ride from one city to another to take 1-2 hours, but feel free to travel any portion of the trail. Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the trail and we ask you to keep dogs under control.

This is a fabulous trail, well kept, different viewpoints along the way, and toilets! We rented e-bikes at Bootleg Bikes in Kimberley (they were great, bikes great) so anyone thinking its too much, try it on an e-bike. We would have preferred to start in Cranbrook to do the uphill part first but couldn’t find an e-bike rental in Cranbrook... business opportunity someone? Thanks to those who keep the trail in good shape.

This is an old railway line so the grade is flat or with a minimal hill. The trail is wide and well packed gravel. It runs along the lake the entire way to Oyama.

Mundy Park

Reviewed By 895frankh - Pitt Meadows, Canada

What to say? Old growth forest, small lakes, trail system with excellent drainage so that it never gets muddy, even with all the rain we have here. Dog friendly areas and trail times. Whenever I walk or jog through the park, I'm reminded that the most relaxing colour is green.
