Nice place for Kids, come early or wait a long while before having your lunch served... Overall waiters are unpleasant and service is not up to minimum standards. Even the owner was not really friendly... Quite a pity, because the place is really nice! Not recommended during holiday, when over crowded.

I am so glad we stumbled across Step2. It has a lovely warm, inviting atmosphere with a beautiful outdoor area. The crepes are amazing. My husband ordered crepes with fresh fruit. The fruit was the best I had ever eaten, fresh with so much flavor. I ordered the crepes suzette and enjoyed every mouthful.They also have a gift shop with a great selection of gifts, souvenirs and home items.We were welcome to sit in the garden with our small dog.

We stopped in for lunch. The food was nice, but not spectacular, but the staff were really helpful coping with our lack of Flemish.The playground is popular and well maintained - there were at least 5 guide groups when we were there. The crazy golf was fun..

This is a local spot that is popular, yet the waiters speak English and can translate the Dutch menu. Delicious food and great spot to eat outdoors with the garden and trees. We rented a house nearby and it was so convenient. Reasonable prices.

There is no better way to celebrate good school results then with the family and fine food. The steak stroganoff was saignant as it should be, also the hamburger and fish were exquisit. The waitress was very attent and gave good advice. One of the better places to eat in Essen

31 st of December came to Esser, Belgium all restaurants were closed and in our way back we found this gem !Surprised we eat super nice, fresh and tasty.Lekker KREEFTEN BISQUE and PALING IN HET GROEN If you are in the area is a must eat ! You will not regret it. Wednesday and Thursday close !!!

Het is een geweldige taverne met hele leuke tennisbanen en vriendelijke bediening. Het zijn hele leuke uitbaters en ze zijn (bijna) altijd blijHet is zeker een aanrader!!

Je wordt er steeds hartelijk en warm onthaald door de gastvrouw Anja. Je voelt er je meteen welkom. Alle gerechten zijn steeds tip top in orde, verzorgd en super lekker. Aanpassing van gerechten naar gluten-vrij is ook geen enkel probleem. Warm en gezellig interieur met uilen. Terras is ook fantastisch, zeer rustige omgeving. Kortom, absolute aanrader!

A look on the menu tells me that everything is fresh in this place. Not a huge choice, but something for every taste. The suggestions where very interesting and tastefull. The dessert, I had "Dame Blanche" is a large portion. So, save some space for it !

We went with the family , 6 adults and 5 childeren, on a day with beautiful weather. We sat outside on the terrace with view of the playground/ sandbox. The kids can play while you wait for your diner. Dinner was great. We will be back...
