Reviewed By Q1478FBmartinhThis is an Amazing place to stay in Zell am See. Kids enjoyed very much wellness area (specifically the pool). Restaurant on site with delicious dishes and wide wine list selection. We had a beautiful view od the surrounding peaks from aur apartment. Ski lift in walking distance (though we were here off season). Many activities in vicinity such as the Wild & Adventure Park Ferleiten and Tauern Spa. I definitely recommend.

Reviewed By happytravellers194Stayed here for a week skiing in February. Fabulous location in the heart of the village but only 5 minute walk to the gondola. Despite being so central was still quiet in the evenings. Fabulous room which was beautifully decorated. The staff were all great and very attentive. Great food and a lovely selection of vegetarian dishes. The only thing that let our stay down was the fact that the boot room was mostly left open even locked open one day which could be easily accessed by anyone. This was off putting when storing ski boots and skis. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and gorgeous in decor.

Housekeeping was everyday and ski room was very comfortable and equipped with a dryer for the boots. Our big company is completely satisfied and we will certainly recommend these apartments to our friends!

Pension AlpenroseOur friendly family run Pension is located in a quiet central location just a few minutes walk from the centre of the beautiful old town and the lake. Forest and mountain walking trails start in close proximity to our house. Also the ski lift, City Xpress and the ski slopes can be reached in a few moments. A free car park is available at the Pension. We offer beautiful non smoking rooms, finished in natural wood, with a cozy atmosphere. All but a few rooms are fully en-suite and all are equipped with flat screen digital cable TV with over 100 channels, telephone, radio and hairdryer. Most rooms also have a balcony.

Reviewed By tom_D6877TXYou can tell that hostess Anni really cares for the guests and it shows. Rooms are clean and fine, breakfast is good. The location is very good for skiing as it's close to the lift. Boot warmers in the basement with space for skiis. Everything was smooth.

Good stay in Zell am See
Reviewed By agmonrWe stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay and the hospitality. Owner and staff were really nice and welcoming. Included breakfast is continental (other options are available at added cost). Our only complaint was the lack of power sockets near our bed to charge our cellphones, as we had to charge them both on a desk in the other room.

First Austrian Skiing Holiday
Reviewed By IsbodAfter a lot of email traffic between myself and Julia, 11 of us arrived for our first skiing trip to Austria. Julia could not have been more helpful with all the information we asked for before and during our stay. The rooms were all very clean, spacious, comfortable and warm. The shower was fantastic, it took a little while to warm up in the morning but was powerful and plenty of hot water. The rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast was more than expected. Hot and cold selections were available and a lovely selection of breads and pastries. Very attentive staff and nothing was too difficult. The hot tub and sauna made available free of charge was excellent. It was the perfect way to finish a days skiing. The arrangements for our departure were all left to Julia and were faultless and the breakfast bag she sent us all away with was very much appreciated. Location of the Hotel was excellent, 200 yards from the train station and the same to the express gondola. Only thing i would say as a negative was there was no indoor bar facilities, but we believe that was due to the Covid situation, and there were plenty of bars close by.

Reviewed By jamesl139It’s certainly interesting. It’s a lovely old building which would once have commanded great views but is now obscured by new constructions. We had a lovely big room on the top floor which was very spacious and comfortable. It was also exceptionally clean but with a slight smell of fags which is normal for Austria. Rosa and the staff are a colourful bunch who like a drink and the service is quite chaotic at meal times. The food itself was decent without being tasty. If you’re looking to ski it’s not in a bad place. The runs in Zell are beautiful. You can get the bus down to Ariet lift and it takes 5 mins (or 20 minute walk). You wouldn’t want to carry your boots and skis though as it’s up a hill. Overall we had a great stay but it’s certainly not five star.

Great friendly guest house
Reviewed By Dinky_donut27The guest house Landhaus Marlies is in Zell am See near the Schmittenhohe cable car station. The room we were in had a balcony, the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back. The only thing is it’s a steep walk up to the guesthouse from the town but there is a bus service.

Reviewed By admiralj2020This is a strict bed and breakfast. No option for 1/2 board. There is no communal area. Bedrooms have nowhere to sit. There is nobody at reception. Breakfast is bare essentials. Issued one key only. Clean and warm but certainly disappointed
