The Kräutermühlenhof is located right next to Burg's beautiful gardens in the heart of the Spreewald. Our bed & breakfast has 15 double rooms situated in a quiet and green location. All rooms are set up in a country house style and equipped with a toilet, shower, TV & WLAN. Cars and bikes can be parked nearby. Our staff speaks English, German and Polish. Our neighbouring restaurant Zur Kräutermühle has a cosy beer garden and offers country house style cuisine throughout the whole day. While breakfast will already be included in your room fare, you can also add dinner to your room booking. We look forward to hosting you!

Reviewed By Netti78Had dinner here and while the menu looked inviting, the food didn't deliver and prices were rather high. There was a hair in one of our main dishes and while they offered to re-make the dish, we were now not able to eat our meal together. No other compensation was offered. The service felt rushed as they seemed more concerned with the approaching rain and breaking down the patio rather than customer service.

Reviewed By Frieda AVilla Fortuna is the most amazing resort for a family vacation, especially if you wish to have a taste of both relaxing and lively atmosphere. This villa is located only a few min walk from the train station, from which the train leaves to Berlin every half hour. So, one can arrive at Berlin within the hour. Also, you can get to The Tropical Islands station in 7 min (a special bus goes from the station to the entrance of the park every few min). The whole place is surrounded by the most beautiful garden one could imagine, full of trees, plants, fruit and flowers. Tables, chairs and benches are placed around the garden so you can deside to sit under a tree or under the sun. It also has a pond in which ducks swim and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a trampoline, ping-pong kit, BBQ stand, a sand box. And it's all for you and your family. The house itself is simply huge. at least 3 bedrooms with double sized beds, a living room with cable TV, two bathrooms and toilets (hair dryers, towels and hand soap included) and a fully equipped kitchen. The whole complex has a beautiful interior design, of both modern and antique styles. And most important - it's perfectly clean, absolutely spotless. The landlord is most hospitable and very friendly. he offers his guests anything that would make them feel at home. Right behind the villa there is a shopping center with REWE supermarket and other stores and a small cafe. A few minutes walk away from the villa you can get to the center of town, where you will find cafes, a movie theater, and quite a few restaurants and stores. in sum, if you plan your family vacation in Germany, Pansion Villa Fortuna is the perfect choice. If you like to walk, a car is not a necessity.

Frozen hotel
Reviewed By Ilya KWhen we came to the hotel, the room, where we lived, was overcold - 10 degrees Celsius. With heating turned on to the maximum and turned on hairdryer (sic!) we were able to heat the room to 14 degrees. Meantime reception was totally closed (no hotel staff at all, I checked all possible places). We've spent the night sleeping fully dressed - in socks and jackets. In the morning we were really angry and ready to leave hotel, despite that we already paid in advance for 3 nights. But reception guy assured us, that it would be possible to change room later on, when their other guests would chek-out, and that new room would be warm for sure. Because of that, we decided to stay and just went out to the city (it was December 31, who want to stay at the hotel this day?) When we returned, another receptionist replied that "they have no free room", but our current room "is warm". Aaaand "Hello darkness my old friend" - second night in the row in the fridge. With frozen toilet and wet-frozen towels. Next morning we've just left. Just the worst hotel in whole Germany.

Very comfortable room, but...
Reviewed By DrDave_at_CHSGreat room, large bathroom. Hostess does not speak English, but very welcoming. Difficult to find without GPS. This is a farm property, in a wetland area. Many flies and other bugs, with no window screens. Especially bothersome at breakfast. Weak Wifi signal.

Reviewed By Niklas BWaren übers Wochenende im Eichenhof um Berlin und das Tropical Island zu erleben. Der erste Eindruck war, dass alles ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen ist. Doch die Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet und alles war sauber und ordentlich. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und lecker. Das Zimmer lag jedoch an der Straße und Autos waren schon hörbar. Außerdem lief immer eine Katze durch die Flure, was ich persönlich nicht so schön fand... Das Personal war sehr freundlich und engagiert. Für ein bis zwei Tage durchaus ausreichend!

Völlige Ruhe, sehr entspannend
Reviewed By irossi47Eigentlich sind wir mit unserem Wohnmobil sehr zufällig hier gelandet, aber wir haben es außerordentlich genossen. Ein sehr ruhiger, einfacher Stellplatz direkt bei Schafen, Hühnern und Ziegen. Einfach idyllisch hier. Ein schönes Frühstück wird angeboten und auch das Restaurant bietet abends eine reichhaltige Auswahl. Wir haben mehrere wunderbare Paddeltouren mit den hauseigenen Booten, die man für einen fairen Preis hier leihen kann, von hier aus gemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
