We waited with my four friends at table about 15 minutes and nobody came to serve us even when waiter noticed us when we came in. Then we chose to go to a other restaurant right next to this one and there service worked perfectly! I cannot recommed this restaurant to anybody!

OLD WORLD STYLE

Reviewed By divariva50

This hotel is a renovated mill house with charming stone features and architecture. Well off the beaten track but worth the effort to find it. The owners are charming and have furnished and decorated the interior with style and sympathy for it heritage. A few minutes drive back along the winding road ia a great restaurant with friendly and efficient staff and very good food. Again this was a stop over on our trip to Athens.

Simple but clean

Simple and small room with everything you need. The seasight is nice, but the neighbourhood is dirthy and crowded. You can park your car behind the restaurant in some dark alley. The breakfast was different because of Corona, we only had Some supermarket cakes in plastic... not really What you expect from a b&b. For only 1 night it was fine for us, but more than 1 night I would book something with a bit more...

Calm, rest and splendid views

Reviewed By Knaeppchen

Peacefully hidden in the Savonian hinterlands, surrounded by large forests, you can find calm, rest and splendid views in Palazzo K, a former monastery for black friars from the 15th century. The apartments are clean and spacious, we used number 5, which makes you passing the restaurant area, always a special experience. Lennie and Massimo are wonderful hosts and they immediately make you feel at home. A highlight is the restaurant which is open on weekends and the awesome cook performs his passion for cuisine on your dishes. Lennie and Massimo also arranged us half a day on a sailing trip with Beppe, a friend of the house. Beaches are 30 minutes away, I especially recommend those around Varigotti. Leave early because the sea side area is crowded in the holiday season. Genova is an hour away and definitely worth a visit. All in all we spent an amazing week in Liguria.

Worst Hospitality Ever Received !!

Reviewed By Aldo G

We were on a European tour with our motorbike and we were booking places to stay overnight looking each evening online to the closest places available at that moment. We wanted to stop in Genoa but unfortunately nothing was available suitable to our budget, la casa inglese came up as a lovely place with good review at a fair price and we decided to book online, it was around 8:30/9:00 pm on the 25th of july 2015. While making the reservation through search engine we were not advised on any policy for check in or check out times. We went ahead with the reservation providing also our mobile number. we should have arrived at 11 pm but unfortunately the roads to get there were very narrow and dangerous and without light through the mountains. We could only travel at 10 mph. We got there around 1am in pitch black condition and tired from the long trip started from Monaco in the early afternoon, we were so relieved to have finally found the place and we could get a bit of rest overnight.. we were wrong..the worst welcome ever received.. the man owner came to the balcony on the first floor and started to scream at us in the front garden like there is no tomorrow..we could smell alchohol, he was drunk, we were trying to calmly explain that we have a reservation and we booked earlier and we tought someone was expecting us but the man insisted that there was no reservation, the reservation was refused and the travel company used as broker for the booking was informed, but no one did contact us back, we didn,t receive any email and /or any text message. he was swearing at us, telling us to leave and i said where are we going to go this time of the night on top of the mountain, please help us I said, it's not our fault, no one contacted us and no policy about timing on the website.. the man suddenly came back to his senses and just like that he changed his tone, we were now guests, it doesn't matter and him being a religious man mentioned something about S.Augustine, said sorry about the screaming and no charges for the room he is just offering help.So he led us to the "oscar Wild" room , briefed us and went away. We were so relieved, we thought what a nice man, he's helping us, what not charging us, tomorrow we thought we are going to leave 100 eurous to this guy for helping us..We were wrong again..the following morning all that what said earlier was forgotten, the man's wife gave us the worst possible goodmorning ever, we were going to thank her for everything but instead she started to offend us and even wrote an email stating that we are the most inconsiderate and no charges for the room because there was no monies to compensate their inconvenience..therefore for them not to pay the commission to the travel agent and only asked 25 euro for the cleaner ( 50 euros was the price for the night)..I'm sure there was no cleaner's fee and she would have taken the money herself..just few minutes later the husband ( balcony's man from previous night) came back from church( apparently) and again all over started again make us feel horrible and with a deep sense of guilt.. all that was said the previous night about us being guest was forgotten, we were left speechless we wanted to reply to the same tone because it was a bit way to much over the top, bu i preferred to go away and start to pack the bike with our luggage to leave. we didn't want to get down to their level, poor people we thought, pity and mercy on them, we left 30 euros " for the cleaner".. and went away. we could not believe the level of ignorance of these owners, at first looking like to get to a common agreement that it wasn't anyone's fault and trying to help us,only for few hours later trying to prove their point and treating us like crap.. that is not how you welcome your guests, update your check -in/ check -out policies on the website or use the contact information given to inform your guests..they would have got an excellent review and 100 euros for helping us in a moment of need but instead decide to be mean and nasty taking advantage of our circumstances.. the place itself was nice , fairly clean in a fantastic location, but the worst ever ever hospitality. If you decide to go make sure to book in advance.

A b&b, not a hotel

Reviewed By iclss40

This is a B&B, not a hotel. Basically, it is a flat with 4 or 5 bedrooms and two shared bathrooms. Pros: - rooms are big and clean, nicely decorated. - the location is excellent. 10 mins walk from train station. Just off the main street of savona Disadvantes: - no standard checkin after 6pm. It is possible but contact them first. - no reception desk. I guess you cannot leave your suitcase after checkout - no air condition. There is a fan but it gets very hot in summer. You have to open the window but then the streets are noisy. - shared bathrooms

Tired, not as decsribed

Reviewed By Paul M

We chose this hotel because it was on the beach, with a pool. It is quite a hike from the town, it is on the beach but access to the beach, and the pool is through a beach club for extra charge. Parking is on street, not private and fine if you have a Fiat 500, we don't! Rooms are old and tired We won't be back, and at €70 a night I would not advise this place, there are better for this money
