Inexperienced Staff and No Hospitality
Reviewed By 885myThe beach is good and the hotel location is not bad. But the staff lack hospitality and have poor problem handling. We booked 6 rooms for 2 nights and arrived before the check-in time. Despite the rooms looking ready (they took me to see each room), they wouldn't let us check in early. But whatsoever, we could wait. Time passed by, not even a single glass of water was offered. They told us that we could use toilets, towels and beach chairs free of charge. How special was that! Then 14.00, check-in time, I kindly asked them to let other guests go to their rooms cuz everyone was so tired while I would be at the front desk clearing the bill which I had paid 50% earlier. But they said no, I had to fully pay first or else they wouldn't let anyone in. What hospitality! And I just discovered later that if you booked a car, speedboat via them, there'll be an extra charge at different prices depending on which staff you're talking to, while at other hotels, they're willing to help you free out of extra charge and some hotels even ask you what time you'll be arriving so that they could prepare the rooms for you in advance.

Hand on heart, this is probably the best place I've stayed, here's why: The views of the ocean from our beach side bungalow was breathtaking. The staff were super friendly and helpful but also gave us space. The private beach is a sanctuary when the Island get a bit too full on, yet its a stroll away if we wanted to get involved. The room was functional, spotless and had everything we needed. The only thing missing from the resort was a restaurant but hey, there's tons a few minutes away. If you're looking for paradise on Samed, stop, you just found it!

Reviewed By Dom21076My wife and I spent two nights at "Blue Moon". The room was simple yet very clean and comfortable overall. WiFi was excellent. The manager was very welcoming and helpful. He rented us a brand new motorcycle which proved perfect to discover the whole island / National Park. The location was perfect for our needs, close to everything (esp. main pier, National Park entrance, restaurants...). I definitely recommend the "Blue Moon" in Koh Samet.

Reviewed By Marco YExcellent quality price, we traveled with our dog and is one of the few who accepted our animal without problems, many green spaces, helpful and kind staff, the distance from the sea (beautiful) to 30 steps so almost on the sea but at the right distance not to hear the noise of the beach where the evening fills up to accommodate tourists who choose to dine right by the sea, we had a great deal more than expected. the beaches are semi-deserted and the presence of boats is almost unnoticed. I would go there again without thinking of it as an excellent alternative to the best known Thai seaside resorts.

Terrible food and poor value
Reviewed By Natjayne1Ate here yesterday lunch time. The cocktails are the most expensive along the beach (250 thb for a pina colada) and very weak. The cheese and ham sandwich which cost 120 thb was 2 slices of bread, 1 slice of 7/11 style ham and a slice of plasticy cheese which is designed to be melted on a burger. My photo is of half the sandwich- the other half went to a hungry beach dog. I think this place is a “tourist trap”- avoid.

Reviewed By unalomewGood location if you’re interested to walk in the popular yellow meadow (Tung Prong Tong. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfy and big. Room was clean. One downside - the room wasn’t so soundproof. We could hear everyone in the house speaking/snoring.
