It has an open structure surrounded by a gallery where the ample and comfortable rooms are distributed. You will be provided with direct and preferential attention, and will enjoy the surrounding peace of a one of a kind resort.

Reviewed By MspTripperVery nice and very quiet in the country. And older estate type property, couldn't tell if it's still a working farm or not but certainly looks like it could be. Room was basic but quite comfortable. Our group had dinner and breakfast and food was good. Owner/manager does not speak English.

Good for a few nights' stay

This hotel had the perfect location off the highway and surprisingly it was very quiet because of the set up of the rooms at the back of the hotel lobby. The grounds were nice and would be good for a family. The hotel staff were nice and pleasant. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Shower was good. Breakfast was OK, as described. And you could park very close to your room. If needed, we would stay there again. The only thing that bothered me was the lingering smell from the time when smoking was allowed in the room. The room is carpeted and you can never get rid of the smell. After being in the room for a while, you got used to it and it certainly didn't disrupt my sleep.

We are located about 25 minutes from the centre of Salta and it is just a 10 minutes drive from the airport of Salta. We have 10 bedrooms, of which there are 4 in the main house and the other rooms are situated in separated cottages. All our rooms have a bathroom en suite, wardrobe, (floor) heating and a safe. Especially for families finca|valentina offers two bedrooms en suite, with a bathroom in between. A delicious breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. Our services and additional activities are a beautiful swimming pool, internet Wi-Fi, lunch and dinner services, horseback riding, massages facilities, cooking class and guided biking tours. It is a beautiful and relaxing place at the feet of the Andes and perfect as a base for your trip in the northwest of Argentina.
What a gem
Reviewed By Travelight747We stayed at Finca Valentina in March 2020 and had a lovely short stay in this little gem of a hotel on the outskirts of Salta. We had a beautiful two bed house in the grounds. Breakfast was served in the main building and we also had an evening meal which was perfect. Most of all was the fantastic service that the team of ladies provided, from the food to helping us with information on the day of the Corona lock down we couldn’t fault them. Highly recommend!

A refuge of peace and authenticity
Reviewed By estrangerSan Carlos and La Vaca Tranquila are an absolute refuge of peace, tranquility, and authenticity on the edges of slightly dumpy Cafayate. The property owners live on site, which means the maintenance and feel of the entire site is top notch. The surrounding areas make you feel like you're on a working farm, and the town of San Carlos is possibly the most authentic and charming town we came across in our long journey across the Northwest of Argentina. Breakfast excellent, and the pool a real treat. San Carlos lacks one thing: a passable restaurant. If someone opened a good restaurant in San Carlos, and you didn't have to take the unpredictable Ruta 40 to Cafayate for dinner every night, this place would be a dream. Either self-cater if you stay here (there are facilities to do so) or make sure you have a designated driver for the 30-min trip back. Would be great if the property could arrange a shared taxi service to and from the property at dinnertime (say, leaving at 8:30pm, returning at 11pm) that guests could join.

Posada El Prado is a confortable country house with a very calm atmosphere that is created by the familiar atention and by being sorrounded by nature. It's a very nice place where you can enjoy the peacefully countryside and the culture of the lovely city of Salta.
Great Value near Salta Airport with even Greater Hosts!
Reviewed By FabysuzyWe chose this location near the airport because we hired a car for pick up at airport next morning. The communications from the hosts were good prior our arrival. They were very flexible to cater our late arrival. Our checked baggages did not arrive with us, and by the time we completed all the paper work at the airport, it was too late to go into town to get dinner. Luckily, when we got to the posada past 22h45, the host's son was cooking an Asado with friends, and he was so kind to invite us! We were so hungry and grateful, and the Asado was one of the best we had! We then retired in our large room, which had a nice bed for us to sleep on. Next morning, the host herself helped us communicate with the airlines for our delay baggages (we had 2 bags that arrived in separate planes and one was split open...), as well as calling us a taxi to get back to the airport. The posada was not one of those fancy buildings in Salta town, but it had everything you need at a fraction of the cost. In our eyes, it was charming in its own sense and a place of grandeur. More importantly, the hosts showed us what true hospitality is all about! When one is away from home and facing mishaps, it is people like Beatriz and Gabriel who make the big difference! Thank you very much for making our journey a little less painful!

Great staff and nice kitchen
Reviewed By Ruud KVery friendly and helpful staff. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook for ourselves for a change. The hostel is just a 5-10 minute walk from the main square. Rooms were quite decent and clean. There’s also a nice little inner garden to enjoy living outside.
