Reviewed By Anna MWe stayed here with our extended family. We occupied 2 rooms. One bigger room for a family of 4, and another room for a couple. The bigger room was huge! Both rooms were clean. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was satisfying.

Reviewed By Jode111Very welcoming host who gave loads of recommendations, and he even moved his own car, so we could park on his spot instead of in the street. The room was clean and well equipped, and although the bathroom was a little small is was very functional and had a nice shower.

Reviewed By RueskovFor the price this was a very good place to stay in charming Rothenburg and I was happy that we had chosen a place inside the city gates instead of a hotel at the train station. The breakfast service at Pension Elke was great and the host went out of his way to make sure that we got all what we wanted and at the same time made sure to avoid the spread of virus by serving everything from the extensive buffet himself instead of letting guests get close and help themselves.

Reviewed By Renee82Was there in mid-October for an exhibition for 3 nights. Reception was excellent both during check-in and out. Service at the only restaurant at the hotel needs some improvement both at dinner and breakfast. I wasn't served or even asked if I required coffee/tea for all 3 days stay but I did notice others got asked. Was also forced to sit at bar for dinner as I was told I had no reservations and the maitre d' actually clicked his tongue and raised his eyebrows and wanted to turn us away until I mentioned we're guests at the hotel and there's nowhere else to go unless you took a taxi out. The rooms are tiny but clean. The beautiful compounds made up for the tiny rooms. No lifts so you do have to drag your suitcases up the stairs.

Friendly, cosy, affordable, sustainable
Reviewed By Bob SThe one night we spent at the Goldenes Lamm was memorable. We opted for a "premium" room that was spacious and had a very comfortable, Stressless-type easy chair. The room was very clean and warm, and centrally located near the center of old-Dinkelsbühl. Sustainability is achieved in many little ways, like the ordering of breakfast the night before on erasable menus that can be reused and live plants in the room. The Goldenes Lamm will be our go-to lodging choice when we return to this beautiful corner of Bavaria.

Reviewed By Jos GI have stayed several times at Hotel Stadthaus, and it was always perfect. Very friendly staff, fully equipped rooms with nice bathroom. Good breakfast. The hotel is situated in the center of Erlangen near Erlangen Arcaden and the main shopping street.

Odd little place
Reviewed By biztrav123Property in the middle of downtown Zirndorf. a few restaurants and cafes around it. I did not have a room in the main building, but in a small house they have around the corner with a couple of floors of rooms. Room was a family room with a double bed in the main room as you walk in. A central hall with a bathroom on the left, a room with bunkbeds ahead, and a small room with a couch and table/chairs/tv on the right. No coffee service, no microwave, no fridge....why bother with a table and chairs???? Functional bathroom with small sink, toilette, shower stall. Floors were bare imitation wood floors, so not that comfortable to walk barefoot on. room was a meat locker at first until I cranked up the radiators. Door to the hallway did not deaden sound so the noise from the room across the hall or the entry way was loud. Paid 90E .... CASH ONLY....during a trade fair in Nuremberg. Did not eat in the hotel other than breakfast....no hot food. Cold cuts, pastries, yogurt, cereal. would not be in a hurry to go back, but it was not bad. The area around the hotel was cute. We ate across the street in another restaurant that was excellent traditional fare.

The owner is friendly and helpful as well—it was a warm August weekend (and we had forgotten to bring our own fan; we live in driving distance) I asked Birgit if they had a fan we could use and she brought us her person fan! She’s very quick with messages and replies; there’s affordable private parking nearby and it’s a pet friendly place. We double checked the pet policy to be sure we could bring our cat and not only was he welcome, but there was no pet fee! We had a room on the top floor that included a decently sized terrace/balcony which was a nice place to sit in the mornings or evenings.

Unprofessional
Reviewed By EdithNieAfter making a reservation on the phone, I was promised to receive a written confirmation. Hours later with no confirmation, I wrote them on the only email address available on their website. By morning I still had no reply and then decided to call. The reception promptly told me that their is no booking under my name and I shouldnt have written to them at that email address and hung up the phone. I've never had such unprofessional service from any hotel. How dissappointing.
