Good Quality Hotel
Reviewed By Ross10001I stayed at this hotel for an overnight between flights. It provided everything one would expect from this brand. Modern, clean and quiet rooms, a large, new, spacious and comfortable bed, and courteous service. The chef veganized one of the room service meals for me, which was greatly appreciated.

Recently renovated, the house features six stylish and spacious en-suite rooms, each with their own unique look and feel. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a flat screen TV and satellite television.
Enjoyable stay
Reviewed By davestlyI was working not far from River Bird so I chose it based on other reviews. I really did have a good time here. A very comfortable and clean place with everything I needed. The wifi worked well for me. It was good to have a decent choice of TV channels on the DSTV system. Breakfast was good. I used the pool once when I had time. Most of all, the owners and staff went out of their way to help with anything and were very friendly. I will certainly stay here again if I find myself in Lusaka.

Beautiful architecture but a bit remote
Reviewed By JisteinertThe facilitiess are very beautiful and the industrial loft style is very appealing and stylish. The bar area and pool js also very nice and the bar tender friendly. However, the location is a bit far from most places in Lusaka and taxis are not too cheap. Also, the reception staff was not very helpful. Credit card machines did not work, they first didn't remember my friends' booking and they did not want us to store our suitcases in a safe place after check out. So service could have been considerably improved.

Better the expected!!
Reviewed By pragati9I had read mixed reviews about this lodge and was little sceptical.But unfortunately finding self catering apartments in my budget was hard, so went for this one.We choose 2 bedroom executive apartment. The booking in process was not smooth.I emailed...no response,I called and got it booked and requested confirmation by sms as their internet was not working.Then after couple of days got response by email too......confirmed our date of arrival and nights of stay etc........a day before leaving called again and lo behold we were still not booked....okay so they had availability and booked us there and then but for 1 bedroom apartment....arrived next day and managed to find the 2 bedroom one also available so went for it.... The lodge was clean and well maintained.Our apartment was clean and sofa,bed,carpet etc was clean and apparently less used.The kitchen had less crockery and cutlery but a phone call to reception rectified that. The pool is nice and well maintained and we made good use of it all three days of our stay....The lodge offered breakfast to its residents and it was fresh and well balanced. Overall we had good time and mean to stay here again the next time we are in Lusaka.

Reviewed By Pineapple2017Troy has different names Troy Lodge, Troy Student, Troy Apartments, confusing. It looked to us as if it was (is) a student facility which they try to make into a lodge. Unsuccessfully in our opinion. A double room has 1 office chair, a cupboard which is half closed, a decent bed, a bar fridge, 1 desk-like table and a mobile noisy aircon and that's it. You will get 1 towel (if you are lucky its a big one) It is at no means COVID concerned (no masks, no sanitizer and staff coming into your room without any form of protection or visible cleaning!!!) But above all it is filthy to a level that it is dangerous. Molds are so bad and toilet hygiene is not present. First thing we did is buy desinfectant and leave as soon as possible. Staff is friendly but disorganized and badly managed, eg it took two hours to check in (pre-booked) and it took longer to check out. Pictures give a clear view of what we call absolutely dirty. We didn't try to included breakfast, seriously worrying for our health. It has lots of potential and far back it was a lovely set up, shame that they have let it go to this extent. Even a budget accommodation should be clean, is our believe.

Reviewed By Ashley SGreat lodge situated in a nice quiet suburb excellent service friendly staff. Used there conference facility and spacious for group work. Nice restaurant and close to airport and peaceful after a long day. Great Wi-Fi connection that helps a lot to skype back home.

Reviewed By Robertzgozi8My wife,kid and I stay at this place for 3 days. They don't have a bar which was not a problem coz I don't drink anyway. I must they have good management and treat clients well. They provided porridge for my son which was great and hot water is always there. They can improve other services but this place is not bad at all considering the location also it's great.

City Lodge Lusaka
Reviewed By mworst248541I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at City Lodge. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Marjorie, and the room was very clean and comfortable. It was well placed in terms of access on foot to the various places I needed to go, and just a 25 minute walk from Levy Mall, 30 minutes from Cairo Road. Although the food menu was limited it was good quality. I would certainly recommend it as an excellent place to stay in Lusaka.
