Wonderful hotel with excellent service
Reviewed By JW464I booked this hotel only based on the rating on hotels.com Luckily for me the ratings were correct because this is really a wonderful and newly renovated hotel in the centre of Bad Hofgastein. The service I received at checkin when I had some logistic difficulties was fantastic and then this level of service continued throughout my stay. The rooms are very modern and nicely decorated and the breakfast was wonderful. If you stay here then don't miss the opportunity to have a drink in the bar as the bartender is a music wizard. He knows everything about music and plays great music all the time. This is one of these places which I cannot propose any improvements. Book it and enjoy!

The main attraction of the hotel was the way the ladies serve food in their restaurant. They kind of customize the dinner options, and they make sure you are satisfied..

I stayed for 6 nights and was really happy with the accommodation and service. The room was clean with a newly renovated bathroom. The breakfast was always a nice start into the day with plenty to choose from for me. The hotel is conveniently close to the spa where the seminars took place (5 minute walk). The family who owns the place was really kind and always helpful. I will definitely come back for the refresher seminar.

When i arrived to the hotel they give me a room in the first floor with 4 windows and one balcony door with a very light curtains with no Blackout which make the room hot and a huge amount of light enter the room. .I requested a quite high floor room but they booked me a lower floor room with 4 windows with no curtains. I asked the manager women that i would like to change my room since it is in the first floor but she said we are fully booked and can't change the room. In the second day. I talked the one of the women manager daughters that i would like to check out, she said if you like pay the full amount of the reservation (5nights), I contacted BOOKING.COM and explained that i like to check out and change the hotel, they talked to the hotel, but the hotel refused and insist to pay the rest of 5 days. I return contact BOOKING.COM and explain that i wake up from 06.00 AM in the morning since the light is very strong in the room and i can't sleep till 09.00 PM and i can hear noise from street in front of the hotel. I don t know what's happened , but the manager women come to my room in nervous situation and asked my wife in rude and not decent way that we should pay the amount of two night and leave the hotel in 30 minutes i.e. expelled us. We arranged our baggage and we pay them the two nights and left. As i know and deal with Austrian people, i found them very decent, cool and polite. Breakfast is very poor and limited. Sometimes we can't find enough bread, cheese or juice. Hotel staff is very rude and nervous. Insects enter the room from open window looking for light during night time. No shampoo in the bath room just lux soap No hot water during night. No pads for chairs in the balcony. My son's room was in the back of the hotel with no view and like a person.

The view over the mountains was lovely and the sunny terrace is great. The service was good. Very good is a big parking place direct in front of the restaurant.

The resort is very popular,especially in weekends, but never experienced long lines. I stayed at the Pension Gsrtein. I found it very clean, well maintained and excellent location.The room for a single person was spacious with balcony,nice and new or like new furniture. The bathroom is spotless clean and vey convenient. Family Gstrein are very friendly and helpful with info and advises. Really enjoyed the ski and walking around.

Very quiet and clean apartments, worth a visit!
Reviewed By Jonas MThe Stubnerbauer is located about a bit outside of Bad Hofgastein. The rooms are large and well equipped. The breakfast offers self made cheese, butter and milk and is very delicious. You can also visit the animals on the farm. Absolutely worth a visit!
