Value for money but..
Reviewed By cmhedenSince the price is low your expectations should also be low. The rooms are in dire need of renovation. In our room the carpet came loose, one shower cabinet door was missing and the bathroom had old grime. Another of our rooms had ants in the bathroom. The location is good but the traffic noise can be disturbing. The wifi worked in the corridor but not in our rooms. Pros: Cheap Good location Fairly big rooms Cons: Worn down Noisy In conclusion the hotel is OK to spend a night in but expect it to be very worn and slightly dirty. And bring your own toilet paper...

Reviewed By katherinep586I had the most wonderful time hiking around Wild Homestay for three days. The area was gorgeous and there were lots of trails to explore. Routes are super easy to follow on the Komoot app. The river was perfect for soaking your feet after a long hike. The service at the hotel was great and I loved all the food. The homemade energy bars were delicious too. *Check yourself for ticks! I had one on my leg after a day of hiking.

Central location - few minutes walk to the valentines valley, close to the nine dragon waterfall, 10 minutes drive to the bus stations for the yellow mountain and hot springs. Highly recommended ???

Clean room, but that's it
Reviewed By Hilarity112We stayed two nights in two different rooms. Both same size, which was good. One bathroom smelled a bit moldy, the other one was just fine. The food was disappointing and would not recommend at all. The place was not so easy to find when you arrive with the bus from Shanghai. But the tickets organized for the onward journey were awesome, as we got to hop on the bus right in front of the hotel. Anyhow the lady at the reception tried to help, but English is limited. It was cheap, so all in all ok, but nothing special.

Charming boutique hotel

We were lucky to get a room with a river view in the Inn, which is in an old building that is part of a very small section of similar buildings, apparently relocated from a small village in the area, to spare them from being demolished. The staff are very friendly too. Upon check-in they ask you if you want a Western or Chinese style breakfast, and at what time you want it served. It is then ready when you come down. We went for an early morning walk along the river, where some of the locals were washing clothes and fishing. There is a beautiful wall with relief carving, depicting some history on the one side and the spectacular Mountains in the other side. We would definitely recommend this little hotel.

Great location chinese hotel
Reviewed By Yoyo HVisited there july 2014. Really nice located at the quiet end of the pedestrian old street. Nice chinese furniture with a bit hard bed but modern toilet and shower. We stayed there for 3 nights as a base to visit the huangshan mountain and the nearby villages. We skipped breakfast, too chinese for us. They do not speak too good english but we got along just fine. Very good value for money, clean hotel.

Strategic location and exceptionally friendly staff
Reviewed By Akira TI recently spent 3 nights here on a solo adventure to the Yellow Mountains. The hostel is located in Liyang ancient town, which is an hour away from the tourist area of the Yellow Mountains. The hostel is right in the heart of Liyang town, which comes to life at night - serving an array of street food , drinks and restaurants. The town is about 5 minute walk from the infamous Tunxi ancient town and about 15 minute drive from Huangshan Railway Station. The individual rooms are quite small, however comfortable and well equipped with a separate bathroom, airconditioner/heater and TV as well as free wifi. The staff are also extremely friendly and accommodating and will happily assist you organise your travel plans around Huangshan. For the price you pay, this place will definitely be worth every penny.
