Great location with amazing hosts

We parked our car and never had to use it again since the location was in walking distance to everywhere you might want to go to. Sleep in the old castle district with the voice of the waves thinking about the Genovese times.

Serviceable hotel, good for kids.
Reviewed By AgathaMildewthis is outside of and up the hill from Amasra. Its anti-COVID measures were very good. It has a pool. Its view over the Black Sea is beautiful. It was clean, the A/C was efficient and the water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was okay. If I had kids who wanted pools, I would stay here again.

World War time… Now, the grandson of the lovers, Ahmet Bey has been running the hotel for more than 10 years. If you visit the hotel, you can learn the story of his grand parents. It is a clean and cozy boutique hotel. If you like nice sea view and calm environment, you should stay at this hotel. However, if you like luxury services, this nice and very friendly family enterprise might not satisfy your expectations. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and private car parking area. It is a pet friendly hotel, too.

Stunning views make up for basic accommodation
Reviewed By zuskieThe best thing about this hotel was the view—we stayed in the family room with a balcony. The view of the ocean was simply stunning. Can’t say much about anything else though. The hotel was pretty basic. The family room had a weird configuration. The main door opened to a tiny room before connecting to the bigger bedroom. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room daily.

They helped me with my luggage when I arrived in the middle of the night and answered my questions about shuttle buses etc. Despite my broken Turkish. I also had the most stunning view from my window and the hotel was in the perfect location - strides away from the coach park, museum and town centre Parts of the hotel looks a bit tired but overall I felt very privileged to be staying here and was sad to leave.

Reviewed By BrianL496I booked this hotel online. It promised a large nonsmoking room (30 sq metres), breakfast included, wifi, daily housekeeping and 24 hour reception. What I was given was a small smoking room (ashtray and odour included), no breakfast, wifi only in the dining room and hallway, no housekeeping and no reception ever. The caretaker (lovely woman) registered me. When the caretaker left at night there wasn’t another staff member present until after 9:30 am (when I left). This is a soulless hotel in need of a complete overhaul. It’s devoid of any style or charm. If you are desperate, it’s clean enough for one night.

Run down and noisy
Reviewed By Jay_BKKWe stayed two nights here - my friend was in the sea-facing room, and I was in the courtyard-facing room. Both rooms quite noisy at night, with cigarette smoke also wafting up from the courtyard below. Overall a rather shabby place - it could use a renovation, as furnishings were tired and shower heads and electric sockets were loose. As another reviewer noted, they don’t clean your rooms. Also no toiletries provided, just hand soap. Definitely not a “boutique” hotel! Unusually, breakfast was not included in the price. Service was non-existent. Would not recommend.
