THVC is a not-for-profit club for the village of Thornton Hough and anyone else who would like to visit. This historic venue was built by the first Viscount Lord Leverhulme and opened in 1904. There is a beautiful function room available for hire and a lively bar serving at ridiculously low prices. Usually open Thursday (Quiz) Friday and Saturday (usually live music, check before travelling.

Visited with a few friends for drinks as I'd heard it was the new place to be when in Upton. The selection of craft beers and ales is outstanding and the diligent, well mannered and knowledgeable bar staff assured me it's regularly rotated; something I intend to take advantage of in the future! Cheers for having us, we'll be back soon.

Really good meal from The Refreshment Rooms delivered to our house during lockdown. Belly pork roast dinner was fantastic and plentiful. My wife had the coca cola ribs which were amazing. My son had an issue with one aspect of his meal but I contacted restaurant to advise of this for future and had amazing customer service and was more than compensated and cannot wait to dine with / from them again in future. Well done all. ????????

The best beer garden in town - all within easy reach of all public trtansport. Hamilton Square, Woodside Ferry and Bus station all 2 mins away. Function Room The Spectacle available 7 days a week for most occasions. Regular Cheese Night, live music and much more. Best pizza and burgers in town!
