This is probably the bet hotel on The Wirral. The Spa and pool are lovely, very clean and enjoyable to use. The bar areas are lovely. The restaurant was to quality with good service, and one of the best meals I've had for a while. There is a large tarmac car park, and some rooms overlook this giving a motel feel and a miserable view. This is a shame in such a lovely area. It may not matter if you are not spending much time in your room, but if you like to linger or to sit and read by the window, ask for a garden view room.

We stayed here Easter weekend with family to celebrate a double birthday. Loved the place, the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, the lounges, dining room and entertainment rooms were all period and comfortable furniture. The gardens are pretty and big with lots of seating areas. The food provided at the party was delicious as was the breakfast. Lorna and all her staff were very friendly and welcoming. This venue is perfect for partys and get togethers or even for a quiet peaceful get away. Would love to stay there again

Accessible bathroom not nice

Reviewed By vacaciones25

I stayed here last week just for the one night. Unfortunately, I have to say that my experience was not a good one. I booked the accessible room, mainly for the shower. On first impressions, the room didn't feel 'fresh'. It smelt musty. Also - the main problem - when I went to bed, I found that there was no bottom sheet on the bed. I felt quite ill - it seemed dirty to sleep on a bare mattress, but due to the time (it was late and there was no one on reception) I couldn't do anything about it. Therefore, I spent a very uncomfortable night, sleeping on a bare mattress which I felt was grubby. Next morning, when I was leaving, I did tell the cleaner, who apologised profusely. But the whole experience wasn't nice.

Worst hotel ever

Reviewed By gergie

The whole place is in dire need of redecoration and a good clean. Our bathroom was disgusting, mold on the ceiling and walls, taps rusty and falling off. The toilet rim was black. There is dirt all around the tiles, it looks like a mechanic has been in there. The pub itself has masking tape over the doors, ready for painting but it looks like it has been there for years. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Pesto at the Dibbinsdale Inn

At the Dibbinsdale Inn the only thing we’re economical with is the price. There are endless reasons for staying the night. Ample sightseeing opportunities - miles of coast and countryside – golf courses galore (with Bromborough golf club just a 5-10 minute walk away and Hoylake, home to the 2014 British Open Golf Championship, within a 30 minute drive away). And we’re very well connected here on The Wirral – close to the region’s road and rail links, so getting to major cities such as Liverpool and Chester couldn’t be easier. You really couldn’t be better placed for a great night’s sleep.

We stayed overnight as we were attending a function nearby. The room was spacious and well appointed and very clean. Great value for money. We didn’t dine at Pesto but having arrived early had a few starters in the bar. Beautiful food. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was top notch
