A real english pub right Close to the harbour. Wide range of beer to choose from (english, swedish and from all over the world), and excellent food (definitively more sophisticated than the traditional pub food). Prices are reasonable... bear in mind it is still Sweden!

We had late Saturday lunch with my friend and it was quiet at the restaurant. The service was nice and the food was good. We had duck for lunch. I like the place for the special atmosphere and interior. The house is old and has character.

Stopped in for a pint and dinner on a father/son trip to learn about our Swedish heritage. An enjoyable evening from start to finish. The draft beer choices were extensive. I enjoyed a stout and my son enjoyed a Pilsner - both excellent. We both had fish n chips. The pub standard. Also very tasty. Especially the curried tartar sauce. Go and enjoy a classic pub evening.

We were in town and decided to try this establishment after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. There is outside seating in the summer and the bar/restaurant itself was a few steps down in a cellar-like environment. To the right is the bar and to the left is a maze-like area with different sizes of tables. We chose a quiet table all the way in.The server came promptly and took our drink order and soon after that our dinner order. She was cheerful and professional. The menu is a bit limited and specializes in meat entrés and so called "plank steaks" which is meat on a wooden board with mashed potatoes browned in the oven around the edges. We did not have to wait long for our dinner and I was surprised at the good-sized portion. I had ordered the surf and turf and the filet stead was spot-on med. rare. My son had a plank steak and his was very good as well. The prices for a dinner entré are around 250 SEK which really is not bad at all when you take into consideration the size of the portion and the quality of the meal.We were quite full after the dinner and had no room for dessert, but there were a few to choose from on the menu.I have nothing to fault about the food, but the atmosphere of the restaurant could use a bit of up-dating and cozying up. The miss-matched furniture from days gone by is OK and serves the purpose, but with very few changes (new chairs) one could modernize this place and turn it from very good to great. The atmosphere in the bar area is much better.To sum it up, this establishment serves very good food and is well worth a visit.

Came here with locals who liked the place. We ordered the smoked salmon, which was probably the best I have ever had. The meal included salad, entree, beverage, bread, and dessert with much of it in a semi-buffet setting. The restaurant was fairly crowded but conversation was easy.

This restaurant is actually in the Radisson Hotel. Went here on a Sunday night, with friends. We had the fish roe for starter (see pics) which was very very good. For mains we had entrecôte x 2, Chicken n Burger. Entrecôte and Chicken very good, burger was average. When we wanted to order dessert, we were told kitchen was closed.When we arrived and given our menus, nothing was mention. I would expect the waiter to inform us on arrival or when we were given menus, that the kitchen closes early and that no dessert would be available or inform us to order desserts early. Very disappointed... never had this in any other restaurant.Also, waiter was stingy with the wine and poured different measures to us. We were all drinking wine by the glass. Personally, I had 3 glasses of wine, and every time I was poured less than my friends. I did mention it the first time, but didnât bother after that, coz he took no notice.A real shame coz the food was great. But the dessert issue should never have occurred and the wine issue was just plain annoying.After dinner, we wanted a drink in the bar, but was told bar was closed, despite people sitting in bar and outside drinking. No explanation given... We left...HelloI´m so sorry for you experiance Sunday evening. This is of course not ok ! My beloved wife invited me here for a once-in-a-decade-or-so romantic dinner without the kids. My wife had booked a table and upon arrival we were shown to it with a stop at the wardrobe to hang our coats. The staff was friendly and cheerful. After examining the menu and getting advice from the waiter, we decided on the seafood platter, some oysters, some sides and some of the red wine suggested for the seafood.Everything was fresh, well prepared and delicious. (only complaint was that the lobster was slightly overcooked to our taste) The place was really cozy and well suited for the occasion, albeit perhaps a bit dark to read the menus easily. The waiting staff was well versed with the menu as well as the wine list, and gave very good service.We will definitely be back again and can warmly recommend this place, worth traveling for if you are planning ahead and booking a table.
