This is a Nepalese Restaurant which offers traditional Nepalese food with some more traditional Indian style dishes with a contemporary twist.The onion bhajis are as far removed from those normally served in an Indian restaurant as a burger is to a steak. The Pakoras are a delight and the nan breads are so light you have to nail them down. The main course dishes are so beautifully flavoured and seasoned they make your tastebuds dance!! Service is discreet and prices are very fair for the quality on offer. Have to go back to decide if Ripley branch is better!!!

A group of us had a really nice evening here. The food was very good and so was the service. A nice modern in style restaurant gives a good alternative to the traditional local curry house that still has '70s decor. Very modern, really like it here.

First time we have called here And the restaurant is very well lade out with very nice modern decorService very quick and attentive pickle tray is fabulous the restaurant is all on one level with large car adjacent to entrance Large disabled toilets near main entrance main meals served with the plates hot and the food hotter The rest has no alcohol licenceSo bring your own But tap water is readily suppliedHighly recommended

I've been to the Spice Village three times now and it has been awesome every time. I think they are quietly surpassing those stalwarts in the Huthwaite area with their great quality food and unassuming service. I wopuld recommend the plated specials, I have had the Jodhpur Mans and the Ladadbar (hope I got the spelling right). Both are lovely, a feast for the eyes and the mouth. I will definitely be going again and taking friends.

Visited this place for dinner and it does send like it is more popular as a takeaway than as a dine in. Initially we were seated very close to the kitchen and the extremely strong smells emanating from within made my daughter fairly nauseous. Thankfully we were moved to another table at the far end from the kitchen.Good service by the staff. We tried the lamb chops, matar paneer, tarka daal along with naans and rice. The naans were humongous and were really good to taste. The matar paneer was probably the one lacking in authentic taste and seasoning. Lamb chops were succulent and full of flavour. The tarka daal needed a generous dose of salt after which it was quite up to the mark.Wouldnât give it top marks for authenticity in taste and texture but service was very good.

First time here after being recommended by friends and we weren't disappointed. Really good service and meal and we couldn't fault it at all.
