Reviews on Bahamian food in Paradise Island, New Providence Island, Caribbean. Paradise Island is known for powder soft beaches and crystal clear, turquoise water, great for diving and snorkeling. Visitors can try their luck at the Atlantis Casino and dine “around the world” at celebrity chef restaurants. Spend the day at Aquaventure Water Park or swim with dolphins at Dolphin Cay. Take a scenic stroll through Marina Village or shop for souvenirs at Bahamas Craft Center and Craft Cottage. Or just soak up the Caribbean sun on a beautiful beach.

We visited this restaurant as a part of our food tour and we were served a wonderful plate of food! The chicken would melt in your mouth! Conch fritters, mac ân cheese and slaw were very tasty and the lemonade was refreshing! Meant to return...but ran out of time!!

This doesnât make the category of a restaurant. It is a shack on the beach. The 2 food items on the menu is cooked in very unacceptable conditions. Overall, DO NOT waste time coming here if you want a restaurant. This listing should be removed as it does not meet the criteria for a restaurant.

I felt this place was way overpriced. I got the mahi-mahi with Bahamian mac and cheese, peas and rice and plantains. I felt like the plantains didn't have any seasoning on them, and maybe that's how they make them down there but I've had them other places and they were more crispy and had seasoning. I wasn't impressed. I also wasn't impressed with the Bahamian mac and cheese. My cousin loved the rum cake and the cheesecake, I wasn't a fan. The Mahi-Mahi was delicious, but expect to spend at least $100 here.

Went here through a flier at the Harborside Resort concierge. They pick you up bring you back. You arrive at a dark lit and don't see anything but guided to nice restaurant experience. A great conch chowder, terrific grouper and perfectly grilled shrimp at prices below resort level.

Had the shrimp with rice and peas, but at the time we went, the only other sides were plantain and corn, and the rice and peas was the last for the dinner meal. Decent meal, nothing to rave about. The have a big menu and the prices are really reasonable compared to the Atlantis.

Two adults and two picky teens and we managed to get an excellent meal. Service was very attentive. The decor is nice but they put a table of 8 right next to our booth. They weren't loud but it trapped us in so much that the waiter couldn't do the flambe dessert beside our table. We had 8 pm reservations and by 8:30, the place was crowded.

For a all you can eat style place itâs very nice. Fresh steaks and meat for breakfast available make it a great way to start your day at the park with good protein. We ate the breakfast there most days. Staff was very pleasant and our baby loved interacting with them. Will see them again soon.

#Looking for a real Bahamian treasure! Look no farther than Viola's Bar & Grill, located on the grounds of Sunrise Beach Club. Viola's, a favorite of the local Bahamians, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with a wide array of tempting options at pr
We ordered fried calamari, a burger, firecracker shrimp Mac and cheese, conch quesadilla, and salmon. The food was very good but having to sit outside was uncomfortable especially since service was very slow. Our waiter must have been very inexperienced because I kept seeing him start walking over with our drinks, food, etc, only to turn back and delay further. The portions are huge, and I thought the Mac and quesadilla were especially tasty. We only ate half and brought the rest back for lunch the next day. If I had to do it over again, I may take out. Thank you for your review sfgirl3, We are happy you enjoyed your dinner choices: We are very proud of our Chef and his new menu. I apologize for the slow service during the hot days of the Bahamas, we do try to train our new staff as quickly as possible and continue to strive for great customer service. We do appreciate your comments about Viola's and hope you will be back.

Smugglers is located caddy corner to the British Colonial Hilton Hotel. It is hard to find anything in this town that meets American standards and cost. One evening we had their pizza and conch fritters, both were tasty. The next morning we went for breakfast, had the corned beef and grits with couple of eggs, and kids had pancakes. Both vey good, and reasonably priced, compared to many other places that are just the opposite.
