Mir hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und ich wurde sehr gut bedient. Weiter so. Bergkäsesuppe, Steak sehr gut. Preis im Rahmen. Haustorte kalorientechnisch grenzwertig aber gut. Schöne Aussicht mit Sonne und gutem Bier.

This is a self-service restaurant, or mountain cafe, a 20 minutes walk up the mountain from the village of Haller in the town of Nesselwangle. The authentic place features a a large terrace for outdoor seating with a spectacular view over mountains, the lake and the Tannheim Valley. Great food such as large Schnitzels, and delicious Apfelstrudel. Friendly service. Bring some time, this is not a fast food chain. Also check out the wood carving workshop of the son of the owners, on the same property. The place is highly popular in summer, fall and winter too.

In dem schönen Gastraum nimmt man gerne Platz. Ablauf und Angebot sind schnell verstanden. Unprätentiös und mit klarer Erklärung erhält man zügig die Speisen und dazu auch eine überlegte und auÃergewöhnliche Weinbegleitung. Alles hat seinen Sinn und eine klare Herkunft. Man wählt zwischen verschiedenen Menüs (auch vegan) und sollte in jedem Fall vorab reservieren. Bedient wird man vom Eigentümer, dessen Frau herrlich kocht. Die Zutaten kommen alle aus der Gegend oder von familiär oder freundschaftlich verbundenen Betrieben. Wir haben diese gastronomische Leistung sehr geschätzt. Wer soviel persönlichen Einsatz bietet, muss es auch nicht allen gerecht machen und kann etwas Kante zeigen. Er hat gegeben was er geben kann und das war ehrlich, frisch und wohltuend. Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend.

Zur Abwechslung gingen wir ins Via Mala. Ur gemütlich und tolle Musik durch den Juniorchef Alexander. Wiener Schnitzel mit genialen Pommes und Spargel. Wow. Dazu eine Grüner Veltliner 2018 vom Weingut Türk. Wir würden das genau wieder so machen. Portion, Preis , fair, perfekt......

sure you can charge more for location, but this place delivers in spades. the food is worth it, sat outside of course watching the last sun touch the mountains esp. the rote fluhe (sp). had the hirsch pfanne. superb. wife had the tafelspitz. wunderbar. nice folks too.

The Fischerstube has been a favourite place of mine since the 1980s. Recently I returned with my wife and I can tell: little has changed. The food and atmosphere is still as lovely as I remembered it, the people were kind and friendly. After a walk to up to the lake or after some skiing, the Fischerstube is a great place to recharge the batteries and to enjoy a stunning view.

We only stopped here for a coffee and Strudel, both of which were ok but expensive. The service was ok but not particularly friendly, perhaps because this restaurant is always quite busy and so lack of incentive? It has pleasant decor and is very central to Tannheim

For those wanting typical Austrian food we found this was one of the best restaurants in Tannheim. Not expensive for both both food and drink, good friendly service, good measures and a nice atmosphere. Worth a visit.
