This was such a nice little find on our trip. A family run, pet friendly restaurant with two outdoor patios. Their special dish is Austrian dumplings from the owners' secret recipe. Our server was the owners' son, very friendly and helpful, advised us on what to order, and chatted with us. When we got stuck in a sudden storm, we were allowed to come inside and wait out the rain, they happily brought an extra big bowl of water to our table for our elderly dog, who was resting under our table. This is a cash only establishment, and all of the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this lovely little restaurant, esp if you enjoy eating where the locals eat. Nach einer Wanderung rund um den Haunsberggipfel, lädt dieses Wirtshaus zum Rasten und Speisen ein. Essen ist gut und man muss auch nicht lange warten. Der Parkplatz ist groà und meist ausreichend. Nur an schönen Wochenenden, kann es mal eng werden.

We visited here during a trip to Salzburg. We wanted high end cuisine for a special occasion, and an attractive venue. This location ticked these boxes.The restaurant and casino are located in Schloss Klessheim, a grand manor house and attractive gardens. We were there for the surroundings and restaurant, not the gambling, but you can do this too.We were seated in a comfortable corner table in the attractive dining room. We started with some good champagne and amuse bouche of smoked ham. For starters we had the duck comsomme and fish carpaccio, both excellent and well presented, excepting a slight liquid spill (not cleaned up) from the soup plate - a minor complaint, but not what is expected in a venue like this.For mains we had the steak and duck dishes. The duck was excellent and served with calvados sauce and apples. The steak was good although slightly overcooked, as it came out medium, not med-rare as requested.Desserts of coffee parfait and hazelnut were very good although placed on the table without explanation as to what they consisted of. Again, a minor complaint, but not what is expected here.The wine list is good and extensive. We had a bottle of St Emillion. We would return, the servers are friendly and pleasant. I relied on the waitress, who was very patient of my very poor German, to guide me on what the special of the house was....she pointed to it on the menu..i'd never seen that dish before...so i said sure...lets go for it. It came out as a thin...flank steak type cut with carmalized, then crispy-fied onions on top..all of it was swimming in a brown gravy. Served with traditional potatos. It was different...something if i knew what it was going into it..i probably would not have picked it....but it was amazing. I will be going back before I leave for home. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 starts is because they dont take any kind of plastic....they are cash only. Had i of known that...my dinner choices would of been different. They were very understanding..and asked me to just come back the next day..

Came here for dinner with our travel group. The place is a farm with their own small beer brewery. The dinner was true austrian food that came with soup, spare rib and chicken, dessert and yes drinks including their own brewed beer. The place was very nice, their family member was serving the food which was excellent and the beer were very good to the last drop. There was also entertainment, a violinist playing familiar tune from you guess, the sound of music. All in all a night to remember while visiting Salzburg. Just note that this is not in the town center but it was worth it.

Sehr gute Küche: das Zanderfilet super zart, überhaupt nicht trocken, das Grillgemüse mit sehr guten Röstaromen, alles frisch, kein TK-Gemüse. Cevapcici selbst gemacht und gut gewürzt.Freundliche Bedienung!Obwohl das Restaurant erst kürzlich neu übernommen wurde, funktionierte alles reibungslos und zu vollster Zufriedenheit.

Wir waren zum Abendessen da. Essen ist gut, aber die Wartezeit doch etwas länger, obwohl nicht viel los war. Leider war es auch schwierig Getränke zu bestellen. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass der Raucherbereich für die Bedienung interessanter war. Kommen eher nicht so schnell wieder.
