Went here for a family meal. We weren't disappointed. Food was excellent. Very tasty and served well. Staff friendly and efficient. Having been to many Chinese restaurants eastern promise has beaten them all for quality. Yes it's not cheep. But the quality speaks for its self.

Ate here today for a lunch after checking reviews This must be one of the worst mealâs out in a long time We used the lunch special menu. The waiter wouldnât allow a swap from soup to pancake roll even though they were the same price on the main menu This is acceptable to me but was worth asking. We ordered the soup starter chicken and sweet corn and beef chow mien and sweet and sour prawns with rice for our main course. I couldnât eat my soup as it was too thick and gloopy and over salty. I left my soup and when the waiter cleared our table he commented I should have had the other option which was fruit juice! Who uses a drink as a first course nowadays! The main meal arrived and a similar gloopy sauce again too salty was covering the noodles. The meat was pale and tough. It did not resemble any chow mien sauce Iâve had before and use Asian restaurants a lot. My husband swapped his meal of sweet and sour prawns with me and soon realised why, His was awful too. The sauce was not balanced in any way and was overpowered by vinegar. We did have Chinese tea which was nice and shared a dessert of banana fritter. This was not overly great but it took the awful taste of the previous courseGiven the attitude we had over the soup we didnât complain as I would normally do but paid and leftWe will not eat there again!!!

I absolutely love xen noodle bar and have to visit every time Iâm in Truro! Always amazing food, such fast service and the staff are so lovely, especially the manager who always goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect. Itâs super cheap and really just canât fault the restaurant. Would 100% recommend visiting!

I had my first experience of this establishment last evening.I ordered Chicken Pasanda, Veg Curry (side dish) and Pilau Rice.The Pasanda was poor quality with little to no flavour at all. The veg curry was almost as bad as a tin of supermarket money saver curry. The Rice was lovely I do have to say in its defence.You are supposed to get a 10% discount upon production of their takeaway menu, this didn't happen but I wasn't unhappy to pay full price so please don't think this review is biased because of that.In conclusion.......stay away

We wanted a good take away and this was our first visit as our previous regular restaurant has disappeared! The service was good enough, the food was good enough but they made an error with my order. I did ring when I arrived home to let them know and they offered a refund but I was at home by then and too far away to do anything. The chef was at fault as I know my order was taken and passed on correctly. It just smacks of not being bothered.

This tradditional restaurant is tucked away up a Truro alleyway but is well worth looking for. The food was good, service was excellent, and the atmosphere and welcome was outstanding. We've been here many times in the past, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others

Probably one of the least favourite Nepalese/Indian restaurants I've visited. From the reviews I had high expectations but the food and service let this place down considerably.Service- apathetic and lacklustre.. our servers seemed genuinely uninterested in their work. Even when asking about their recommendation they didn't have a clue. For a small restaurant I'm surprised they don't pay more attention to their customers.Food - a real lack of authentic Nepalese dishes being served here. More Indian. And the food that was served was watered down and bland. We had momos and chicken pakoras to start. The momos were heavy and tasteless. The pakoras weak and anemic. For mains the Hasina chicken special wasn't great. The prawn achari was weak and lacking in pickle flavours. A real disappointment. Unfortunately this place does not get my recommendation.
