A few steps away from the Town Hall you will find the Fountain of Three Carniolan Rivers or Robba Fountain (named after its creator). Modelled on famous Roman fountains, it has an obelisk and the sculptures of the three river gods adorning it are believed to represent three Carniolan rivers: the Sava, the Ljubljanica and the Krka. A cultural monument of national importance, in 2006 it was decided to replace it with a replica and place the original fountain in the National Gallery for protection and safekeeping.
