Troia Beach

Reviewed By MaryleneS - Maputo, Mozambique

A nice place to rest during a visit to Lisbon, or Portugal as a whole, especially after some crowded touristic places. This is where nature prevails: the sea, the dunes, the sand, the birds...with very few constructions and a great respect for the environment! Not far from Lisbon for a day trip, or for a few days to better enjoy this unique environment.

Comporta Beach

Reviewed By robstewart73 - Chester, United Kingdom

Spent the day at Comporta. We arrived around 11:30am and paid the €5 for shaded parking close to the board walk. There was plenty of space even on a Sunday. The beach is stunning and it’s worth walking perhaps 1km either right or left of the Cafe to get a secluded spot. As with all of this coast line the water is very cold but beautifully clear. Just be careful of the currents if not a good swimmer...

Praia da California

If you are around Lisbon, you can rent a car and straight through the XXV April bridge you can enjoy the extraordinary town of Sesimbra. Old fashion town on the straight on the sea with dozen of fresh fish restaurants, shops and bar. The skyline of the ocean is absolutely stunning. You will follow in love. Hight recommended.

Cabo Espichel

Reviewed By MaryleneS - Maputo, Mozambique

The Cabo Espichel may be a bit out of the way and definitely requires a car, but it is worth the effort: in addition to the beautiful landscape, especially during the sunset, it offers a combination of attractions: an historical lighthouse, a beautiful Sanctuary and Hermitage, containing footprints of sauropod dinosaurs and a water house with the ruin of an aqueduct to was bringing the water to the premises. It is said that part of the site is under restauration to house a hotel.

Ribeira do Cavalo Beach

Reviewed By jfvmarques - Porto, Portugal

One of the most beautiful beaches that I’ve visited in Europe. I felt like I’ve landed in one of the Mediterranean islands when I got to this beach. You need to drive to one of the recommended places on google maps and then walk about 1km and then walk down cliff between the vegetation that finished at this beautiful sandy beach.
