We were in Lisbon for five days. After a couple of days of just wandering, we decided to take the yellow bus. We paid for three days which was 49 euros. It seemed alot of money but it was worth it. We spent one day on the tourist tram. We were the only two people on the tram, which was great. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to go along the whole route. It was fantastic as it took you all through the old town. We saw a couple of places we like the look of and so we then got local trams (included in the price of the yellow bus ticket) to head to one place (Graca) for lunch and then another tram to Estoril where there were some lovely gardens to just chill. The next day we took the purple line in the morning and then in the afternoon we took the riverboat cruise. Fantastic and really loved the river cruise. The final day we took the blue bus and saw a completely different part of Lisbon. You can do a 2 day option, I would definitely choose the tram and river cruise and then probably the blue bus.

Take the heat out of sightseeing by swapping Lisbon’s backstreets for the open waters of the Tagus River on a hop-on hop-off cruise. Board the boat at Terreiro do Paço, Cacilhas or Belém, and find yourself a comfortable spot on deck. From your vantage point on the water, gaze out over Lisbon’s colorful cityscape, spread across the steep hillsides that earned the Portuguese capital its nickname, “the City of the Seven Hills.” See the April 25th Bridge, Sé Cathedral and Castle of St George (Castelo de São Jorge), and catch sight of the twisting streets, Gothic cathedrals and brightly colored buildings synonymous with Lisbon.

My friend and I were staying in Lisbon and booked this adventure the evening before and it was amazing!! We Ubered down from Lisbon (~30 euros) and met our trip leader (Rui) at the water. He was soooo delightful! Rui was super fun and gave us great instructions and information about the surrounding area. We kayaked for about 1.5 hours then stopped at a fairly isolated and gorgeous beach! We hung out at the beach for about 30 minutes then kayaked back. We also got to explore some small caves on the coast, something we would not have been able to see if we weren't in kayaks. Rui also recommended a great lunch spot near the docks with delicious and very fresh fish. Overall, the trip was amazing from start to finish. I would 100% recommend and would go again if visiting Lisbon in the future.
