Sao Miguel was truly fantastic and even better because of them. Thank you Paulo for organizing everything and I cannot recommend your company enough! Their tours are by far the best way to get to know Sao Miguel!

I did find the service comfortable and it seems to go "everywhere" in Ponta Delgada... But despite the advert they do have only one trip per hour... but it is plenty as both ways I was alone in the bus...

My wife and me did a 4hour coastal fishing tour with Sergio and Natacha who run Seazores and we can highly recommend it. Both make you feel at home on their boat from the first minute and we spend 4 fantastic hours bottom fishing, chatting, drinking a couple of beers and getting excellent advice for things to do and restaurants. Needless to say we caught our dinner too. What makes them outstanding is the passion they have for their job and the Azores and their genuine friendliness.

First the negative - don't do this if you have a serious fear of heights. And if it's cloudy enough that you can't see the peaks from below, don't even bother. Now the positive - however scary some of the trail looks as if it might be from below, it isn't as bad as you expect when you get up to the scary-looking bits. And if you can see the views at all they are wonderful, especially on a very clear day. The trail itself is a mix of different landscapes, first climbing through a mossy gully, then past a green bog full of noisy frogs, then up a bleakly beautiful grassy cone to a lookout point with views for miles, followed by another lookout point with views of a lake, then through heath and bracken, down to some woods around a different lakeside, then a climb up through more woods and lovely plants. It's free, and there is a car park and very clear signage. Take a photo of the map in the car park, you won't need it but it's interesting to look at to see where you are.

Having a veg partner and personally not being being a big meat eater, we really wanted to experience Cozido and were very skeptical about where to go for it. Enter Ali and Caroline. They offered a complete experience which included a trip to the cooking spot and pulling our own meals out of the earth.. The food was delicious and at no point did we feel that we were missing out by not eating meat. We also couldn’t have asked for a better setting, sitting amongst one of the world’s largest private gin collection ???? Special thanks to Caroline and Ali for opening their doors to us, especially on Christmas when everything else on the island was shut and the awesome hospitality and an amazing experience! Can’t wait to visit you guys again and stay on your estate this time around..:

On this trip you will be able to clearly see and even smell the volcanic origin of the islands! The valley of Furnas impresses especially by the many contrasts ... the most beautiful fertile landscapes, lush vegetation and hot, sulphurous springs. Let yourself be carried away in the contrasting landscapes of São Miguel ... In Furnas you have about 2 hours at leisure - try the typical dish of the region, the "Cozido das Furnas" and / or visit the magnificent Terra Nostra Park with the famous thermal pool (Admission 8.00 €). At the end of the tour we visit the tea plantations. In the traditional walls of the tea factory you will taste the local tea and you will learn more about the tea production.

Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Bottled water

Exclusions: Lunch, Entrance to Terra Nostra Park

This tour was the best thing we could have done on our trip. Josef answered the phone himself when I called and we were so happy he was available to take us on a tour. There were six of us and we were so comfortable in his clean Mercedes Touring van. He was an expert driver (a must on these narrow, steep roads) and was so knowledgeable about everything we asked about on the island. I seriously cannot say enough good things about him. We never would have been able to see everything we saw today without him. If you only have a short amount of time to see all the amazing sights and vistas, hire him immediately. The experience he gave us today was priceless. He also will accommodate everything you ask for. He can do it all!! We wanted to have a local lunch and he found the most magical place for us where only the locals were. It was an amazing buffet lunch and nothing has ever tasted better in my life. We wanted to go to the lakes, the thermal pools and the ocean and he took us to all of them and MORE! We also got taken to the beach to an amazing little place called Tuka Tula where everyone knew him and was teasing him and we had lovely drinks. We never would have found this place without him, or been treated so well. We tried all the local Azores liquors at the Mulher de Capote, and soaked in the in the warm waters of the Termas de Ferraria (AMAZING!!!). He is also very funny and has a great sense of humor and was very entertaining. I would give it 50 stars if I could.

We really enjoyed this tour with Rafael. He was the perfect host! Because it was low season we were the only ones on the tour. First he took us to a wine and cheese shop which soon became our favourite place in Ponta Delgada! We went back so many times now that we understood what to order. I would suggest doing this tour early on in your holiday so you can understand the wine and cheese you purchase later on! Rafael gave us very interesting info regarding the wine and cheese and there was plenty for us to sample. Highly recommend!

I have been to over 75 countries and I can definitely say that I had the most amazing experiences in Sao Miguel with this company. I ended up being alone on my tours, we did the Nordeste and then the Lago do Fogo and eastern part of the island with Sete Cidades. Filipe was the most wonderful guide and companion any visitor could ever ask for. Very knowledgeable about his land, a true native of the Acores, he knew where to take me for the best shots, views, and hikes, and always maintained a good spirit even if the weather wasn't always perfect. I wish I would have time to do more hiking trips with his company, it was truly a lovely experience getting to know the beautiful island of Sao Miguel with Filipe. Highly recommended, if you go to the Acores, ask for a tour with Filipe!!
