We got Vlad as our driver/guide and had the best time ever. Our group was late and he patiently waited for us, and then gave us one of the best experiences ever. We were a group of yarnlovers and he took us to 2 yarn factories, arranged a small tour for us there, showed us some waterfalls outside the city, stopped for toilet breaks and chatted and laughed with us. He was so knowledgeable and this was an excellent way to see the sights of Bergen. We can highly recommend him and this tour to anyone.

We depart from Bergen city center, watching the UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen from the seaside with the beautiful backdrop of the seven mountains surrounding the city, including Mount Fløyen and Mount Ulriken. We slowly cruise out the fjords from Bergen. The scenery changes gradually from when we leave the second largest city in Norway, passing the suburbs, to when we pass narrow fjords, islands and villages, and into the Hardanger Fjord- to the village Jondal. Here we will have lunch at the hotel, before our car (BMW X5) is waiting for you to go up to the Folgefonna glacier, about 19 km each way. Up at the glacier, we can either just walk over to the glacier for a look, or hire a VIP guided tour to walk on the glacier for typically 3 hours. When finished, we go back down to the village, to go by car, with ferry crossing the fjord, and via Norheimsund and Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall + Fossen Bratte on the way back to Bergen. We should be back in Bergen around 20:00

Inclusions: Coffee and/or Tea, Snacks, Soda/Pop, Bottled water, Private transportation

Exclusions: Lunch

We arrived in Eidfjord by car from Oslo around 3 PM, and our travel agent had booked this boat for a fjord cruise to Ullensvang. It was planned to do a detour via Fyksesund, which should be a good spot. Boat was ready in Eidsfjord when we arrived, and after a short stroll in the streets with some lovely icecream from a small shop, we went onboars the boat. We had no rush at all, and agreed with the captain to take it easy most of the time, slow cruising to enjoy the fjord. After a while we arrived Fyksesund fjord, and as the rumors said- it was a lovely place. We cruised in the fjord towards several small waterfalls, and have never seen something like this. Captain manouvered the boat into the waterfall, and my wife got on the foredeck to have a shower under it, even though it was a little cold it was an amazing experience. We opened a bottle of wine and njoyed the rest of the cruise, heading for our hotel at Lofthus. We must say that this cruise made the day for us, and the fjords live up to its rumor, LOVELY!!

We were recommended this trip as we wanted to see the fjords but only had a few days in Bergen. I'm so glad we went - in a day they manage to take you to some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen! The boat is large, comfortable, clean and well maintained. We were able to move between the inside and outside areas of the boat freely - we started on the top deck to get the best view, however as the boat picked up speed it got quite cold, so we quickly retreated below deck! For the most scenic bits of the journey the boat slowed right down however to allow people to take photos and enjoy the view. As we were there in March which isn't peak season, the boat was only about a third full. This meant we could spread out on the seats which was nice! We felt very safe the whole time and the crew were very attentive. Going in March means that it's of course a bit chilly outside, but made better by the stunning fjords covered in snow. The cruise takes you through one of the fjords, past tiny villages and finally to a point where the boat can go no farther, where you turn back. At this point you're given the opportunity to drink some of the fresh spring water flowing down the cliff face of the fjord - very refreshing, and unsurprisingly very cold! We had an excellent experience, and if was back in Bergen I would 100% do it again.

7. Bergen - Rosendal full day round-cruise

See the Fjords - Private yacht Fjord Cruise from Bergen

We will cruise for 3 hours towards Rosendal, through fjords and passing islands on the way. From Rosendal Garden you get a grand view of the enveloping mountains Malmangernuten, melderskin and Laurdalstind, and of the waterfall Hattebergfossen and Hardangerfjorden. The garden has been built up over several hundred years of changing styles and fashions in gardening, Here you can experience more than 300 years of garden history.

We stayed at Solstrand Hotel for some days, and had various day excursions there. We also wanted a fjordcruise, and decided to do this as a cruise back to the airport After check out. So the boat picked us up outside the hotel around 10 in the morning, there is a quay in the garden at the hotel. We didnt quite know what we wanted to see, but the captain was local, and cruised between islands and some fjords towards Bergen and the airport. He asked if we wanted to stop for some fishing, which we did. Got some fishes, wich we let go again. We spent about 5 hours on the boat, just perfect before the flight back home. Captain ordered taxi from the pier close to airport for us. Very good service onboard the boat, with snacks and refreshments included, we also had some wine. Lovely weather tjhis day. So all in all a great ending for our Norway vacation.

We took this gorgeous tour even without any info, but it was the best part of our trip! Well-Organised, fast and comfortable. Every point was perfectly organised with the help of guide, who told us facts about sights all the way, he pointed the best views for making photos, this is very important for me as tourist. All transport tickets were sent to us, we didn't have any problems. Next time in Bergen we obviously would take these tours. Recommend! Recommend! Recommend!
