Due to the pandemic, the birthday gift planned my sister had to be postponed. Now that the Penticton Art Gallery has reopened, we went to see the Bob Ross exibition called Happy Little Accidents. All visitors are required to wear masks as a precaution when inside the Gallery. If you do not bring your own with you, masks are for sale at the door. We were given a brochure about the exhibits that also explained the rules for safety. Once inside, my sister and I searched the Bob Ross mosaic for the square that held my name. She bought me the square as a birthday gift, a very unique way to celebrate it while supporting the arts in Penticton. We located it almost immediately. We viewed the 32 paintings on display that represented his style as demonstrated on his television series, the Joy of Painting. It was difficult to pick a favorite from those hanging in the Galley. His final piece, called "Wilderness Day" concluded our tour. Like all of his works, his signature appears on the left side of this painting. Before leaving, we looked at paintings in the Project Room done by Clifford Miller, Connor Kenney and Merlin Seller.
