April 25, 2022 Velvet Mowry

Penang is a Malaysian state located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, by the Malacca Strait. It has two parts: Penang Island, where the capital city, George Town, is located, and Seberang Perai (formerly Province Wellesley) on the Malay Peninsula. The second smallest Malaysian state by land mass, Penang is bordered by Kedah to the north and the east, and Perak to the south.

It was my second time back at The Habitat and I was peer pressured into trying the new zip line course despite my fear of heights. Naturally, I was very nervous before going on the first zip line but once I completed it, it was so much fun I couldn’t wait to get on to the next one! In total there are five zip lines but for the first zip line, you can do this with a friend or someone else which makes it easier for your first attempt in my experience. More importantly, you have designated experienced guides who will follow you throughout the course and I felt like I was in safe hands the entire time as our guides were very professional, knowledgable and they explained everything you need to know and what to do before you take on the first zip line and later help guide you throughout the course. This is definitely a different and fun way to explore the rainforest. As you glide deeper into the forest, you get to enjoy more spectacular views and it keeps getting better. I highly recommend this, even to people who are scared of heights like me because it’s such an incredible experience and 100% worthwhile!

Monkey Beach

Reviewed By SihuiLee0615 - Butterworth, Malaysia

Monkey beach definitely is the famous beach you want to visit in Penang National Park. You need to walk around 1 hour from the main gate. Once arrive, you need to take care of your stuff since there is a lot of monkeys. But the way, you have a chance to do some activities there. For example, water game is provided. Besides, there are areas for camping, you simply have to bring your own tent. Monkey beach is a place that I will return to soon as it is beautiful. Recommender to spend at least one night there with the dreamy sunsets and the liberating murmur of the jungle.
