We came in with a group of 4 and did the Military Escape at Atwater. It was awesome, scary yet fun and exciting. It definitely wasn't the easiest game besides the 66% percent escape rate. I've done Prison break and The lab before and found it harder than the lab. Phil was our game master, great guy, super involved, definitely scared us a couple of times. Would definitely recommend!

The place is well maintained including the equipment. The hosts were wonderful. Had a lot of fun with my team. Hopefully we'll make it a recurring event.

...my family and I had, far, far and away one of the most fun and out-of-this-world experiences of recent memory: our first-ever lightsaber class! We are a family of four, including two younglings of 7 and 11. We were on a trip to Montreal and eventually we would also visit Quebec City. Among us, each of us had varying levels of previous sword/fencing and martial arts training. Not all of us are huge Star Wars fans. Out of all of us, I was the only major devotee, while the rest of us had more of a passing interest. So in terms of avid Star Wars fans among us, one might say I was Solo. TIP: We had a little trouble finding the place at first. The sign was posted on the outside door and was not very big. Upon making a call we were able to find it. The premises are on the second floor of a commercial, warehouse-like building. There was street parking. We found a space right across the street. NOTE: there is a parking lot down the street but that is not where to park. The parking lot attendant was unable to speak English and did not seem to familiar with the Force Academy when I tried asking for directions in my woefully limited French. The facility was clean and well maintained. It featured convenient, sizeable locker rooms. There were computers for signing the necessary waiver form. Jedi Master Dylan, who spoke perfect English the whole time, started us off with a brief introduction in a staging room with safety rules, how to operate the lightsaber, and other basics. (Before meeting him, I had envisioned an instructor teaching in a thick Montreal-French accent. Fortunately this was not the case). Then he led us to the training hall, spacious with very high ceilings, padded floors and space-age lighting. We were invited to choose lightsabers from the rack. I deliberately checked each one before settling on a blue. The rest of us picked colors at random. Based on our choices, half of our party turned out to be Sith (red). There was a short-bladed lightsaber available for our littlest youngling. The lightsabers were "combat" lightsabers, built to take the impact of another lightsaber blade swung in earnest, allowing for fencing in earnest without fear of cracking or shattering the blade. Then Dylan took us through the lesson. We started with some warmups which were rigorous but doable for everybody. We worked on solo saber techniques, then paired up did some one-on-one drills. Nothing too complex for our 7-yr-old. Before long we were doing patterns of choreographed combat moves, back and forth. Later in the class each pair was given a chance to come up with a choreographed duel. At very last part of the session we had a free-for-all 'battle'. Even after that, Dylan gave me a chance to try out a dual-bladed lightsaber (with a green blade one end and a blue blade on the other). I greatly enjoyed my first time wielding one and I had to restrain myself from playing with it for too long. As a long time student of martial arts, including some fencing and other sword styles, as well as a Star Wars fan since an early age, I can easily declare this to have been my favorite activity I've had in a long while. The rest of us, even though less familiar with Star Wars and with less martial arts / fencing experience, enjoyed it as well and the consensus is that this was one of the highlights of our trip. Jedi Master Dylan was himself clearly skilled, well trained, appropriately knowledgeable, and instructed us in a way that was challenging and entertaining, suitable for our entire age range. Highly recommend! Even if you're not trained in any kind of sword fighting, even if you know nothing about Star Wars, still enjoyable! If you're fond of sword fighting and/or Star Wars, must-do!
