Guide conveniently picked up right outside our hotel and led us on a beautiful tour in both English and Spanish. We went to a special winery in the morning where we had a private tasting and conversation with the owner and winemaker, Laureano Gomez. Then we went to lunch where our guide took care of the reservation and a table was waiting for us when we arrived. Beautiful scenery, wines and hospitality. Would recommend - but note we also had to pay for the wine tasting and the cost of lunch once onsite. Not included in the tour cost.

Not worth it, I'm afraid. Too expensive to get to see just one of the glaciers, the Spegazzini one. (The Upsala glacier can only be seen from afar, as it's deemed too risky to approach). The journey was too long and quite uncomfortable (the ferry I took was the Quo Vadis). Too many people travelling. The ferry was 80% full in Covid times, which I found unsensible and irresponsible. We could not choose where to sit or change seats afterwards. The Spegazzini refuge is partly open. You can take a (rather short) walk in the woods, but the café/restaurant/toilet area is (still) closed and looks quite derelict. I've taken other tours in the area (Perito Moreno Glacier/ Canal Beagle/Full day at Chalten) and they were less expensive, better organised and far more enjoyable than this one.

This was a private tour with my wife. We had a very nice car and driver pick us up on time and drove safely. We had local guide 'Soli' who is also a sommelier as our guide. She had great knowledge of the region, its wines, wine making and food. This gave us a chance to chat on the way to the valley and better understand what the Uco Valley can offer. We visited 3 wineries, each very different. The first was Super Uco, it is a small winery with very innovative/experimental wine making and growing styles. Next we visited a small family winery, Family Zania. This very small batch family winery was so much fun tasting and ate some food they prepared fresh to keep us going. The wine maker very passionate and his wines and methods innovative with some great results. We then moved for lunch to a mid size french winery and restaurant, Domaine Bousquet. It offered a nice tour, and nicely paired wines with lunch. (i think 5 courses) All very nice and generous. I would recommend this tour for someone that wants to experience the range of offerings from Uco away from the big brands and not just Malbec varietals.

Usually don’t write reviews but by far the best tour we had in Mendoza. Booked a last minute tour as out flight was late. We visited three wineries and the owner Fede was the driver and guide. Brand new comfortable pick up. First we visited a smaller winery that specializes in white but did also have some great reds. Second winery was Acheval Ferrer, one of the best wineries in Mendoza in my opinion. Great experience and beautiful place. To last, we went to El Enemigo and had a superb luch and wine tasting. Fede is well recognized in the industry and we got to meet Alejandro Vigil. Even got a few signed bottles! Thank you so much Fede for an amazing tour.

10. The perfect day discovering vineyards, wines and regional gastronomy by bicycle

Juan Agustín Maza, Mendoza, Argentina Mendoza Bike Trip

Touring wineries, and vineyards by bike is a unique experience. The slow and relaxed pace of the bicycle makes us appreciate the landscape in another dimension; the aromas of the earth, the heat of the sun, the fresh air, and of course the warmth of the inhabitants of the area are perceived. We will walk quiet rural roads, dirt paths, between vineyards and olive trees, along with channels and courses of crystal clear water. We will learn about the old irrigation systems, used by our ancestors, and also about the modern ones that dose the water to optimize their use We will visit 2 wineries, and a small olive oil factory. We will make wine and olive oil tastings. We will finish in an olive grove and vineyards, where we will have time to relax, and learn about Argentine cuisine, collaborating with our host in the preparation of our lunch, to complete this fantastic experience of living a perfect Mendoza day.

Inclusions: Private transportation, Lunch, Use of bicycle, All Fees and Taxes, visits and tastings in winery and olive
